The Chicago Water Taxi operates on a closed loop route on the Chicago River shuttling passengers between Chinatown and Madison Street on the south branch; La Salle Street and Michigan Avenue on the main branch.
Sometimes they sell beer on the boat. Just ask.
Love these guys but they are not punctual and often decide to "alter" the schedule at random and without notice.
Get the all day pass. Service from Michigan Ave to Chinatown, and then you dont have to worry about parking.
$5 from the Wrigley Building to Ping Tom Park gets you great views of Chicago, a cool breeze on a hot day, and a way to avoid traffic or crowded trains from downtown to Chinatown. So worth it.
Eva T is a cheater. How can she claim to have just become the mayor of a venue that hasn't been open in months.
Eva T cheated in becoming mayor of a water taxi that has been closed for 2 months and doesn't open again until mid-March. False-mayor Eva T.
Catch a ride on the not-so-slow boat to Chinatown and enjoy a self-guided architectural tour for only $4.
Taking the water taxi instead of the cta is less expensive, gets you a bit more exercise and is a relaxing way to start/end the work day. Enjoy!
It is great to take photos from the taxi #fijihunt
Great way to travel around the city
Goes about every 15 mins, make sure you sit in front to get the best view, breeze, and a little bit of splashing water. Love it.
Go to Chicago Water Taxi and sit outside on a warm sunny day while cruising the river.
