Passionately known as "The Doggy Dumpling" you have to try their dumplings and noodles. Very busy, very crowded but you will love the food there. For skewer try Chinese Noodle Restaurant 20 metre away

One of the best hidden gems in town. The Special Braised Eggplant is unbelievable, even if you don't like eggplant. Pork and Chive dumplings are superb, and the meals are unreal cheap. Never skip it!

Place is delicious. Get the soupy pork buns but if you can control yourself, wait a few minutes before popping these ridiculously tasty treats into your mouth - they are super temp hot. No beer.

    Ian Hackett · March 29, 2013
  • Isabella S.

The knife sliced fried noodles or the fried noodles are delicious! The pork & chives dumplings steamed are great too! Best part is you can order 1/2 serves of the dumplings for $4.50!

The dumplings here are off the chain. Also, big ups to the vineyard roof!

A little miffed that Chinese Noodle Restaurant has been merged with this location on fsq as they are two separate establishments.

Seriously I think I've been to this place over a hundred times. It's that good. 9 times out of 10 I get wonton noodle soup

Seating's like a game of Tetris. Special braised eggplant put us in food comas. So darn good. So good.

The pan fried dumplings aren't as nice now they pre fry them - not as crispy outside and juicy inside

    Supermozzie · August 3, 2012
  • Chris W.

Also the name is wrong, Chinese Noodle House is over the courtyard, this is Chinese Noodle Restaurant.

Try these: hand-pulled noodles with beef, egg & chive dumplings (boiled), lamb and carrot dumplings (pan-fried), special braised eggplant, and the cucumber salad. Great night out!

Let's be clear: you want to visit Chinese Noodle Restaurant, not Chinese Noodle House. It's rumoured that they're owned by the same family - but CNR is the superior establishment of the two.

Make sure you don't eat at this food joint on a friday night, the queue is so long! Luckily they have free live music to entertain you while you eat.

    Sanny Wijaya · July 29, 2011
  • Michael S.

Yes there's a queue (moves quick), service is abrupt & the decor tragic, but it's all worth it for the handmade combo noodles and terrific pork dumplings. Expect your food, & the bill, to come quickly

    Michael Shafran · July 29, 2011
  • Brett R.

Keep going back until you've done the whole menu, it won't cost you much!!

    Brett Reynolds · July 15, 2011

Best Chinese noodles in the world! Go for "combination noodle", that dish is heaven on earth!

    Matty Schreck · February 17, 2011

BYO..uh Riesling! Special braised eggplant and ask them to add in pork. Pork and seafood steamed dumplings and two glasses will do the trick

    Summer Riesling · January 25, 2011
  • Nicole L.

Decided try something new here and had the jellyfish salad. Loved it!! A nice, fresh dish that goes well with the heavier noodle/dumpling dishes.

    Nicole Lam · January 21, 2011
  • Prue-ellen T.

Cucumber salad with garlic abs vinegar is a winner. Freshens your mouth as you pick between handmade noodles and pork/ chive dumplings. Fried. Always fried.

A Sydney institution with cheesy grapes adorning the ceiling you must try the handmade noodles and pork & chive dumplings. $8 per serve, just do it

    Denea GourmetRabbit · July 28, 2010
  • BoyJupiter

People come for the dumplings and noodles, but the spring pancakes are not to be missed! Even the half-sized serving, at an amazing $4.50, will be enough for lunch.
