    Nice complex

The cinema is amazing. The huge recliner seats are so comfortable, it puts other cinemas to shame..

    ChuCkiE · 3 weeks ago
  • Natalie W.

Starbucks . The combos are nice but pricy like most movie combos.

    Natalie Watts · December 22, 2015
  • Marie T.

Beer and popcorn ! Can't beat that combo !!

    Marie Tobin · December 16, 2015
  • Will R.

Whole theatre is now alcohol friendly! (not just the VIP) Skip the VIP here it is not as good as at Yonge/Dundas or Don Mills.

    Will Robertson · November 16, 2015
  • Joe R.

The VIP screenings aren't worth the money unless you really value avoiding people

    Joe R. · October 6, 2015
  • JP C.

Pay for the assigned seat, they're super comf.

    JP Casino · September 23, 2015
  • Ketellyn M.

    VIP is much better!!

    Ketellyn Manique 🇨🇦 · September 11, 2015
  • Katherine T.

We go to this cinema because it is close to our house, but only for regular movies. The VIP experience at this theatre doesn't compare to Yonge-Dundas. Don't bother with VIP here!

    Katherine Thompson · August 31, 2015
  • Markus D.

So convenient, so many spots to pick up movie snacks, loving the renovations.

    Markus Doerr · January 14, 2015
  • Nicolas S.

Decent sized movie theater. Usually plays the limited releases. Theater seats are slightly grungy and some are in need of repairs.

    Nicolas St-Amour · December 28, 2014
  • Robin J.

Currently undergoing some renovations. Last time I was there, I noticed that there is a bar/restaurant just past the concession stand.

    Robin Johannsen · December 12, 2014
  • Alex P.

Saw a film in Varsity 8. The thing's flat, old, and dirty. And not in a good "this is kinda cool" way, more in a "ah, what the fuck did I just step into?!" way.

    Alex Palmer · November 9, 2014
  • Becca G.

Interesting film selections, clean theatres and VIP lounge!

    Becca Gilgan · November 8, 2014
  • Thomas

Try the VIP cinema experience. Love being serve while relaxing in my leather seats. Hehehhe

    Thomas · November 1, 2014
  • orun b.

VIP section is neat, but use passes (from Bloor Street Diner downstairs) or coupons to get in and save.

    orun b · September 2, 2014
  • Burce ı.

    No timeplay wtf

    Burce ısık · August 16, 2014
  • Fernando R.

Don't reserve tickets on weekends, its crowded

    Fernando Rebel S · August 6, 2014
  • Jeffy B.

Disappointed that they didn't have the same Food Selection as the Newer VIPs 😞.

    Jeffy B · July 2, 2014
  • Derek V.

Parking validation makes for cheap easy access in and out !

Derek Van de Kamp · June 15, 2014
  • Joel R.

VIP theatres are ridiculously small. The projector is so low that any patron going to the washroom becomes a giant shadow puppet on the screen you just paid $20 to watch a movie on.

    Joel R · February 18, 2014
  • Neil R.

It is true. Very flat. Did not enjoy! Was watching Catching Fire.

    Neil Roy · November 30, 2013
  • Benjamin

    Theater 8 is extreme dirty

    Benjamin · June 22, 2013
  • Rob T.

The layout is a cut above other Cineplexes, though it does not feature Timeplay. Caters to a mostly older crowd, but can't be beat when it comes to it's great selection of limited engagements.

    Rob T · June 5, 2013
  • Adam M.

VIP rooms are cozy. Come early and have a beer!

    Adam McArthur · May 13, 2013
  • bunny h.

    no timeplay here :(

    bunny hero · April 21, 2013
  • Lucy S.

The VIP experience is worth the extra few bucks. If Cineplex management are reading these tips, you may want to invest some $ in re-covering the seats (the material is wearing off on most seats).

    Lucy Senior · February 24, 2013
  • Jean-Marie H.

Supplemental to my previous comment re VIP rooms. They've NEVER cleaned them.

    Jean-Marie Heimrath · January 19, 2013
  • Jean-Marie H.

VIP rooms are shit holes, they're dirty and smell like they've cleaned them. . Not worth the premium they charge.

    Jean-Marie Heimrath · January 19, 2013
  • Aaron Brown

Best place in the Cineplex family to get popcorn. I'm not sure why or if the recipe is different but I know a couple of people who swear by it

    Aaron Brown · January 13, 2013
  • Cristian T.

Avoid the VIP at all costs! VIP 1 has the worst screen I have ever seen in a theater. The screen has actual holes in it - a black grid of tiny black holes that completely ruin the image quality.

    Cristian Tane · December 14, 2012
  • Karima L.

I love VIP treat anytime and will avoid theatre #8.

    Karima Ladhani · November 20, 2012
  • Roly G.

VIP rooms are cool. check it out watch a movie in first class :-)

    Roly Gomez · September 25, 2012
  • Adam R.

Get ur tix beforehand and get ur seats earlier than most other theatres.

    Adam Reddick · July 14, 2012
  • Connie C.

Ticket lineups too long? There is a ticket machine at the Bloor Street Diner, one level below the theatre, tucked inside the entrance.

    Connie Crosby · July 7, 2012
  • Josh H.

NO TALKING DURING THE MOVIE. Also....don't use your goddamn cell phone, even to see if someone texts you. You're not that important and can go 2 hours without looking at your phone!

    Josh Holliday · June 9, 2012
  • Tiffanie I.

If you're in short and in cinema 8, choose seats closer to the back, or grab a booster seat just outside the doors!

    Tiffanie Ing · June 3, 2012
  • Aeryn L.

Love the small VIP rooms where you're waited (no lining up at the snack bar, woot!) And LLBO baby! :)

    Aeryn Lynne · May 24, 2012
  • Connor D.

What a joke! VIP rooms are small. Waste of money. Feel ripped off!

    Connor Dickie · May 21, 2012
  • Lee N.

Try the comfortable seats and the unwelcome intimacy created by a tiny room and a tiny screen shared with 20 strangers.

    Lee Newton · May 11, 2012

A great place to watch a film in an even better location. HOOPLAH loves the Varsity!

    HOOPLAH · May 2, 2012
  • Adam S.

Didn't except my 2 for 1 pass on Tuesday, despite the fact that Scotiabank has been for two months.

    Adam Schoales · April 10, 2012
  • Kelvin L.

Theatre 8 is poorly designed to say the least. No incline! Grab a kids booster seat if you're short!

    Kelvin Lee · March 25, 2012
  • Jonathan L.

    Try the stair lights

    Jonathan Levstein · March 25, 2012
  • Mark K.

Vip is not worth it my tv at home is bigger the theater was a mess not vacuumed all day bathrooms filthy

    Mark Koltowski · January 3, 2012
  • Sara

Pay the extra couple of bucks to go into a VIP theatre. It's worth every penny.

    Sara · December 29, 2011
  • Damean R.

Cinema 7 is routinely used to put on events like the Rogers Marketing Awards. It's a fun place to be. Also, this room has a 4K projector. Read more

    VIP is a treat!

    Peter Goring · October 18, 2011
  • Jessica L.

I think theatre 8 has bugs. I left there itchy and with little bites on me. So did the person I was with! Yuck

    Jessica Leung · August 21, 2011
  • Tara S.

VIP is awesome and worth the VIP fee. Be sure to get there at least a half hour early to get the seat you want and waiter service.

    Tara Sinclair · August 20, 2011
