This is a little island in the east bay that can't shake off the ghost of 1896...the shoreline and the various little neighborhoods make it one-of-a-kind, a place you love once you live in it
Walk along Shoreline Drive & breathe-in the fresh air of this great 'hometown' of mine (just across SF Bay), then walk along Park St. & have a hot tea &/or eat a great breakfast at Ole's Waffle Shop.
I love this little city. I'm in such a central location that everything is within walking distance and it's real easy to get to bart too :D
The shoreline is awesome. Burma Superstar on Park St. is a great place for dinner. Get there early!
Always drive the speed limit and stop for pedestrians or you WILL get a ticket!
Very walkable town with lots of friendly dogs & people!
It's good ol' Alameda. Duh! It's exciting when you idiots causing an accident then traffic.
Check out The Hobnob for yummy eats and drinks!
Applebee's is nasty out here. Even the drinks.
A beautiful place to raise a family
Everybody in Alameda knows everybody.
