Avoid the Franklin Institute unless you have kids, or go during weekdays as early as possible! Walk as much as possible and see all the museums, don't forget to eat a Cheesesteak at Pat's.
It's a fabulous city w/ great people. The schools may not be up to par and of course there are very unsafe areas just like any other city. But this city has a story. A story of hard work & friendship.
Well, what can I say? I was born & raised here. My fav things about Philly are the history, ethnic variety, proximity to so many other places, walkability, & parks (namely Fairmount, FDR, & Pennypack)
I was very disappointed in Philadelphia. It was dirty, littered, and most of the historic sites are run by the federal government which does not know how to do that very well. I won't be back.
The Mummers Day Parade is a beloved Philadelphia New Year's tradition. Celebrating its 115th anniversary in 2016, the parade brings 10,000 performers in elaborate costumes and live music.
Philly has a friendly ad campaign to attract tourists. To bad they aren't friendly. Just got a parking ticket literally two minutes after a meter expired. I am taking my tourism elsewhere!!!!
Philadelphia is a great city, one of the top lists that have made in america, like the liberty bell, Benjamin Franklins memorial, and The crossing of delaware, a great city with best restraunts, bars,

I guess if you're into that kind of thing. If you want a really great city, move to DC. Less crime, more parking.
