Seattle has some really wonderful hotels. The Hotel Monaco is absolutely fantastic. While staying there with my son, they brought him a coloring book, crayons, a sweet teddy bear AND A GOLDFISH.
Be sure to try the Shy Giant fro-yo place in the little charcuterie area across the alley in front Pike Place Market!

The sidewalk is like traffic. Oncoming to the left and stop taking up with whole sidewalk with your 20 kids and 5 baby strollers!
A must thing to do is Kayaking on the Lake.Amazing experience if its a sunny day.
Skip the umbrella, rain jacket or coat with hat is easier. If it's windy, you'll be glad to not have an umbrella!
If you have individually wrapped snack foods or sample/hotel sized shampoos soaps etc. The homeless like these.

The greatest city in the US! Pike place market, downtown, waterfront, the library, safeco field and green lake are must go's.
Check out the waterfront, mountains, and lakes. It's gorgeous especially on a sunny day :)
Take the Bainbridge Island ferry at sunset for the best bang for your buck while you're visiting.
Lots of homeless, very safe city, fun during the summer months.
