People tend to check in during these times:
You can make your own "private label" wine at this music/wine venue opened by the owners of the Knitting Factory.
Come for the music and come back to make your very own wine – down to the label design.
A unique wine bar where you can design your own wine. Great live music too!
Some good by the glass choices: moscatel grape 2009 (a flavorful white from Spain) and the ribera del jucar DO (red based on tempranillo grape)
Grab a glass of wine and catch a great show at their live stage

eat the pizza.
saw a show
Rose on tap, black kale Caesar salad and good live music?! Sold. This place makes me feel like an adult in a good way.
Serious artists here. Marianne Faithful this winter...
Live music + wine +good company = City Winery! Best gift idea? A membership to their wine club. It's worth every savory drop.
Nice, low-key place to drink good wine and listen to music.
I <3 City Winery. Great live music venue with awesome food, and an extensive beer & wine list.

City Winery is Manhattan’s first winery in 40 years. Ask about creating your own private label wine.
Wine and live music. Nothing better. Did a Zeppelin and wine paring event here a few years back. Make your own wine!
just ask the chef to make something tasty.
Be warned. They pack you in like sardines - 4 people to a 2 person table.
Do not sit at the front end of the bar if you're going for a live show. The view is obstructed.
Love this place! The live music, the amazing atmosphere, the great people and of course, the wine! A real working winery in Manhattan.
happy hour 5-7
I think I like it
Hopefully they aren't too doped up
best scenario is wine & snacks (charcuterie, cheese, seafood) dinner was not all great i would skip. probably awesomest would to have a ~20 person wine and cheese party amidst the barrels
Ask the sommelier for wine suggestions. Rosso de Veo was an amazing choice!
(Men) pee on the television. ;-)
Stick with flatbreads or cheese for food, skip casked wines. Shows are awesome! Always. VIP seating area reasonably priced and worth it.
Loading dock out back is the best place to catch an outdoor show in a concrete jungle. Drinks are surprisingly reasonable.
It's a trip to be in our old office space -- from 1999 when Comet Systems was downstairs in the old El Diario offices. I'm pretty sure I see where the pool table used to be!
They serve a delicious Asian baby.
Staff is great...and so is the wine made in-house!
For me it's not all about the wine. They quietly keep a huge selection of imported gin and scotch behind the bar... but you'll have to ask to see the list. DON'T MISS!
sign up for the alerts for bands and show. They some great shows!
P.S. The sangria is perfection.
eat before you go as food service is a joke. Waitresses are lovely and apologetic for the lame kitchen
Go for the music and the wine. Other than French fries, I wouldn't order food again. Short rib was bland, no flavor at all
Get the sliders! One of my top reasons for coming. Great venue for a low key night of music and wine.
Great venue. Spring for the VIP seating, not sitting on top of someone else is worth it's weight in gold.
The buffalo mozzarella pizza and the Three Cape Ladies wine is just a bonusto the great music.
Great intimate concert space. Try the Spring St pinot noir.
ask to taste a barrel sample....
ask for a tour
