    Often faster to change here rather than going into Waterloo, for many destinations in London. Check out Google maps and maybe save time.

    If you have the choice. Take the trip to Brighton from Victoria and not Clapham Junction for guaranteed seats when it is hot.

    Taking a taxi, horse riding, cycling, walking, pub crawling or not going there at all. All strongly recommended viable alternatives. If you MUST take the train... Then don't come to me complaining! :)

    No need to change platform if you are taking the Overground connection. Both trains north and south are on platform 1. This avoids what I did, going up the stairs and getting lost. :)

    Shock horror! Our precious claim to fame “Britain’s busiest railway” isn’t actually part of Clapham. It's in Battersea, in 1863 the station was named after the more popular village.Fact! v/LoveClapham

    If your at platform 5/6 be at the second coach so that you will get to the stairs at putney faster eapecially during peak hours where a huge numer of people are there :)

    If you planning to use the Overground to S'Bush, Olympia, etc then try the Southern service from plat 16/17. Sometimes they fill the gaps between Overground trains.

    Except for tiny rank on st johns hill, there are no black cabs. Friendly mini cab office under bridge towards battersea.

    There are lifts to/from footbridge to platforms so you don't need to drag your suitcases up the stairs.
