People tend to check in during these times:
Big park, nice little carousel but it's a tough park to keep track of two kids. Lots of places to hide.
Starting to show signs of wear and tear. Still worth a visit but u might want to lay an eye on anything your kids plan to use...
Hot. Damn hot. Tarzan couldn't even take this heat.
Great park for all kids, the whole place is handicap accessible including a swing that can hold a wheelchair!!
Huge park! The kiddos will love this one!
Best park for kids in DC area! Free, safe, educative, good for different age and gender groups, and full of joy and fun!
Great playground. Hours of fun!!
Only when it's cool, there is no shade.
Awesome park!! Lots of spots for a picnic too.
Best playground experience I've seen for smaller/bigger children, with numerous slides, swings, model trains, buses and a bouncy track plus a carousel! Convenient parking lot adjacent to the park.
If you come with more then one kid bring more then one adult. Kids don't seem to want to do the same thing together all the time :)
almost no shade so it gets hot and sunscreen is definitely recommended. There is a path which is shaded though and lots of equipment to entertain. Very open and very easy to loose sight of children.
The two-acre park features a reconfigurable maze, an old-fashioned carousel and endless imagination. - June issue 2012
It’s bursting with color, packed with variety, and overflowing with equipment that’ll teach reading, time-telling, and balance skills.
Very lovely park. For all!!
We are lucky to live in McLean...this is the best park, most likely, in the United States. It's worth driving to if you do not live nearby...you can make a day of it.
You can rent the covered picnic area which is great for birthday parties.
Get here early for a parking spot in main lot. Great for children needing lots of sensory input and/or to burn off energy. The vending machines have no water options - juice & soda only.
wow, great free park in McLean. A little intimidating for our 11 month old but we'll be regulars once she hits 24 months. Be sure to get tokens for the carousel.
Best park in northern va. Worst parking.
There's no way there's an egg in this maze. I spent 5 hours searching every inch of this thing. Nice bait and switch, Clemijontry...
Bring cash for the carousel.
The sun's heat will reflect off the soft padded asphalt so this place isn't much fun during the heat of the summer. Not much shaded areas either.
Bring lots of snacks. There are beverage vending machines and that is about it.
Try not to bring a stroller. This park has a lot of places to climb over or go under that don't leave much room for a stroller.
Great park. Limited close parking. Plan to drop off and park just down the street.
