Rainey Street's original cocktail lounge and new home for live music 7 days a week.
Meet your dream dive bar.
There's an obvious reason why Clive Bar rhymes with "dive bar," so you can ask the bartender for menus of a couple restaurants across the street.
Pay respects to the passing of the Peacock Lounge by sipping a cocktail in their old chairs, which now reside here
Nerd alert! Be aware!
Text me I live nearby I'll come drink :)
One of the great hidden gems downtown, just off Rainey Street. And make sure to check out Bar Ilegal in the backyard.
Part of the Rainey St. collection of bars, Clive Bar has a distinct vibe with a nice wooden side porch, perfect for enjoying a drink and the warm Austin weather.
Tip your bartenders ya'll.
Huge outdoor area for all the patio dwellers.
Ask the bartenders what they like to make. They're all very passionate about their craft, and they tend to have a couple of amazing drinks in their back pockets! Or just get a Pecan Porter on draft.
I love sitting outside here. So much outdoor space, awesome view, tons of food trucks to deliver. Perfect!
Remember to not wear open toe shoes...
This is the "dive-iest" fancy bar in all of Austin. All the class of a high scale lounge with tons more character. Plus with $2 Pearl you can't beat it.
Love the candles outside, luring me in...
Rainey st mule is delicious!
Ask for St. George's Gin (Cask)
This place is fantastic. However, the ping pong table is unfairly positioned and leaves one side with an unfair advantage.
Slam a shot of Herradura neat, chase it with a Victoria! Life will be fantastic.
Deep Eddy frozen drink here. Must. Have.
Best bar in Austin. Period. Exclamation mark.
Todd the bartender is amazing and makes a great dirty martini. The service is impeccable
Cool atmosphere, rude staff
best bar on rainy st. great outdoor space.
Bar 96 is a piece of shit
A favorite, slightly out of the way, spot - during SxSW or anytime.
Oddly enough the patio here is unquestionably one if the best places to see the bats!
Don't steal the pretty glassware, they check your bags on your way out
If you don't dress like an idiot, be prepared for several annoying people to call you a hipster
Order eats from the bevy of food trucks across the street (the bartenders have the menus)
Order scotch on the rocks and they'll pour you a triple
Don't come here. I love Rainey st but our bartender is TERRIBLE. Or come here and ask for one of the male bartenders.
Get some food across the street at G'raj ma hal! They will deliver it to Clive.
Don't look like an out of towner and order a "specialty drink" because they don't have them. Stick with Pearl.
Off the beaten path -
Moscow mule!!! Cool dog, picked up some kayak tips...
The moscow mules are amazing
Great cocktail menu. However, some bartenders may need to be reminded that every cocktail should not be shaken. Nightly $6 cocktails during the week and free biscuits and gravy 2nd & 4th Sunday's.
Mulled wine and spiked apple cider! Was perfect for a chilly Texan night.
Great patio and drinks.
Cool. Bar :)
It's crowded on Saturday, but nowhere near as bad as some other areas of town. Good selection of beer and a well made G&T.
Order a Moscow Mule.
Jonny Gray killed it last night at Clive Bar. Such a cool place for an intimate set.
Love the outdoor space here, and they have great beer prices.

Sick mezcal selection.
Great patio! Great selection! Great bar!
Try a barrel aged cocktail!
