Visit Cold Springs Tavern in Santa Barbara, home of the first gold mining coach station. It's romantic and has a great fire. Try their signature dish of chicken stuffed with cranberries. -Patti Stange

This hideaway is one of the best kept secrets in SoCal...an old stagecoach stop that has retained its rustic charm. Got here early and had the place to ourselves. The pork chops were amazing!

Try the Chili Sampler! Great flavours, my favourite being the Chile Verde. Shame we couldn't visit on the weekend when they apparently have live music.
