There's a Farmer's market here every week during the summer. This is one of my favorite squares in Boston for the opportunity to sit and a beautiful green area, and watch the city happen around you.
The homeless love this park. It's also a great place to find pan-handlers.

In a city best known for its historic sites, Boston's Copley Square is well-known instead for the architectural delights that grace the area, once the site of MITbefore it moved to Cambridge.
Check out the creepy statue of Bishop Philip Brooks by the sculptor Saint-Gaudens here; he is most famous for the Robert Gould Shaw Memorial on the Boston Common.
Check out the turtle and hare statues in the middle of the park! Also the Boston public library is just a stones throw away and has a beautiful courtyard.

Boston's best kept secret is in Copley Square. Boston Public Library is one of my favorite places in the city. Be sure to check out Bates Hall, especially at night.
Grab a coffee and sit by the water fountain. It's pretty relaxing to people watch.

Around lunch time for many there is ParkArts and supposedly local artists setup on Copley park and perform :) ...it is quite nice.
During the early a.m hours parts of this park are extremely dirty!
