On August 12, 2009, the Chicago Transit Board approved an ordinance granting Apple Inc. advertising rights to the station and the exclusive lease of the bus turnaround for nearly ten years in exchange for refurbishing and landscaping both.
The plaza outside the Apple Store is just so nice and relaxing.
Good for.... Exercise? Frankly, it's embarrassing that this major station is not accessible. No elevators and the escalators only go up. Get it together, Chicago.
Not a good stop to schlep a bike or large luggage up the stairs because escalator is too narrow. Small Starbucks is inside here on the Clybourn side
Narrow escalator. Don't be lazy, take the stairs. You know you should.
I hate their skinny ass escalator!
The water fountain, and natural vegetation, provide a peaceful balance to the hustle of passing cars and pedestrians.
If you're young please treat the escalator as a moving walkway. If you're fat, I'll we'll cut ya some slack.
No credit card machine. No more chase ATM. Ugh
2013 award winner for narrowest (is that even a word?) escalator in the world.
I remember this lady 5 years ago get ticked when the train went elevated who yelled at the conductor "why didn't you stop at north and clybourn? Why can't you go back??" You probably had to be there
People! Stop texting while walking up and down the stairs, or anywhere WHILE walking! Get out of the friggin way! Seriously.
New Starbucks coffee store inside the train station!
Watch for slow people on stairs. :-) if u r in a hurry.
Make sure the bench is clean BEFORE you sit down! YUCK!
Those iPad signs are actually up backwards! Check out the iCal app--that should be a 7. :D
Need internet? Grab your laptop and swing by here, apple has free wifi ;)
Great place to go if you want to ride a subway train!
If you're fat take the stairs, otherwise you'll prolly get stuck on the escalator.
I don't care WHAT they say in the RedEye, this station is STILL a hell hole.
Red Lime? Really? Spelling counts…
Thanks for the renovations, Apple!
Cold & scuzzy. The CTA at its worst.
