The chef that created the concepts for Culinary was so innovative and creative. This is a one of a kind concpet and really brings a new taste to comfort food! They often have specials and unique menu

Thirsty? Order the brown bag special. It's $1.95. It's basically cheap beer! Fun story behind the name. Drown your sorrows with the server that coined this concept. Cheers!

Pretzels! I think most of the appetizers are better than the entrees. Desserts are soooo good too. Great ambiance. Gets pretty loud the later in the night it gets. Love the seating and chandeliers.

Place gets packed. Open table reservation let skip the line. Pretzel Fondue would've been great had cheese been more heated. For some reason the bar was holding up our drinks. Even empty. And canned.

Live music is Fridays and Saturdays, super fun environment but it will be super LOUD then too. If you can handle the noise, order the fondue and after dinner don't miss the caramel popcorn.
    Haley Buntrock · November 16, 2013

Order the pork ribs- sauce made with jalapeño and molasses- not too spicy not too sweet. Meat literally falls off the bone, so delicious. I subbed a salad for my fries too. All meals are under $20!
    Braelyn Smith · May 1, 2010

Don't let the name discourage you. The food here is kinda pricy for a college budget but worth every penny. My favorite is the house made fettucine! Also they have nearly 50 different beers choices!
    Janelle Ericsson · November 8, 2010

Named one of the 2010 Best New Restaurants. Try the pork belly Cubano. Don't skip the skillet of hot, gooey apple monkey bread. Order it when your entree arrives, as it's baked to order. Read more

Amazing food! Probably because half the menu is dedicated to alcohol, however if your vegetarian you may have to think outside the box while trying to figure out what you can eat here.
    Amber Triniere · August 3, 2013

Everyone had awesome food - not a single bad item. I had the braised short rib pasta and it was amazing! shrimp po boy was excellent as well the pretzel appetizer was a great starter.

Fried chicken has a distinctly strong honey taste, a little off-putting to me, my wife, & a friend. Nothing wrong with it per se, & perfectly prepared. Just not to our liking.
    David LaSpaluto · August 20, 2011
  • Taylor A.
Love this place, just like all the other Fox restaurants! Mostly for the simple menu and live acoustic music on the weekends! They have a great happy hour too!
    Taylor Alexander · November 18, 2013

If going with a large party, call ahead! They only have 2 or so tables that can accommodate. Very good food! Fondue pretzels and many grilled cheese is the best!

Located 15 mins north of campus. Great atmosphere and all of their menu items are delicious. Wide variety and a great place for happy hour drinks and appetizers.

Awesome food! The pretzel fondue is the best thing ever. A little expensive if you're on a college budget, but totally worth it! Decent happy hour specials!

Pretzel Fondue is a reason to come, casual, trendy atmosphere is the reason to come again. Great drink specials, & live music. Have dinner and walk to Old Town.

The Pretzel Fondue is quite amazing. I have never come here and didn't like what I ordered. The service is always great and it's a fun place to hang out.

The fried chicken is out of this world. For those tips on here saying to avoid it- they must have changed it up. Great sizes portion. So crispy!

This place is run by criminals willing to defraud their employees. My best friend was a dishwasher there for 6+ months. They break health codes, and they refuse to pay him for his last 2+ weeks.
    Alan Goodman · March 22, 2014
  • Della Z.
Love the atmosphere of this place. They don't take reservations for small parties, but the wait goes quickly. The tomato bisque soup was amazing!
    Della Z · May 19, 2013

Crispy shrimp Caesar salad hits the spot - though the shrimp is battered/fried, there's nothing greasy about it. (And as others have said, YES, the pretzels.)
    David LaSpaluto · August 20, 2011

Fried chicken is great, as are fish and chips. Definitely share the pretzel appetizer. All cocktails are made with fresh and/or in-house ingredients.

They have great food for happy hour (bar only), but for the life of me I cannot tell the difference between who works here and who is a customer.

Fried chicken is amazing... they don't give you much mashed potatoes though... you might need to order a side and split it with a friend.
