I had the squab entree and the rock flathead main and they were both DIVINE. They make their own butter and chutney which was one of the best I have ever tasted.
The smoked mussels and fish dish entree is amazing!

incredible service and food. ambience was a little underwhelming- more reminiscent of the corner pub.
The steak tartare, heirloom tomato salad and spice-crusted grouper were outstanding.
Been here a few times & I could not fault this restaurant. Had the degustation for the first time & all were amazing. Make sure you allow few hours when opting for the degustation, not one to rush!

My favourite dish of the five I ate was the hay baked carrots - such complex flavours for a normally humble vegetable. Everything was delicious and the service was outstanding.

Enjoy the bar up frint or go for dinner either way you will be enjoying one of Melbourne's very best. Modern Australian menu is excellence in fine dining. If duck is on the menu it's a must have.
Excellent food, knowledgeable service, perfect cocktails and sexy wine list. Make a reservation (it is popular), and consider the area has limited parking. Even the bar snacks are worthy. Divine!

The lamb saddle was amazing, and so was the crispy duck with foie gras, and the lyonnaise salad with wagyu tongue and pigs ear. Service was excellent too. Def will go again (:

The spanner crab and abalone soup is light and smooth.
The suckling pig is served with a paste that tastes a lot like asian shrimp paste.
You have not lived until you have tasted the Suckling Pig!
Just go with the tasting Menu and you can't go wrong. I thought the food was just above average, wasn't really extraordinary. Service was a bit average, the waiter looked like he didn't wanna be there
Amazing food & service. Go for the sample entrees to kick the night off, oysters, and suckling pig. The violet ice cream with ganache and sour cherry is the dessert winner!
The Sunday lunch was as talked up as it was awesome and some more. Can't wait to return for dinner. Australian Gourmet Traveller Restaurant of the year 2011 award well deserved!

Such a fantastic dining experience. The suckling pig lives up to all the recommendations. The menu is more adventurous than you what you read.
The set lunch is exquisite. Great service. They adapted the lunch to meet my pregnant fiancée specific dietary needs. The pork belly main was executed perfectly!

Entree sampler is fantastic, so many interesting flavours. Couldn't fault anything, service was wonderful. Sommilier brought out wines to match, all of which were lovely. Great night!
brilliant cuisine transcends trick food pretensions although waitress' defense of linguistically tortured menu as evidence of andrew's creativity was a stretch - still really really good
Wagyu Beef Ribs are amazing and the cocktails are too.
The bar is a great place to stop and drink, have small eats. If dining, definitely try the leather jacket and quail terrine.
