Chef David Burke’s newest restaurant brings his creative and whimsical style to downtown New York with inventive reinterpretations of American classics.
Overrated, not worth the money!!!Excellent coffee and bread basket. Decent Home Fries. Egg white omelette was a huge letdown and it surprises me the waiter recommended it. Say wha?
I didn't think this place was worth the high prices. Food was good, not great.
Anlata anlata bitiremedim leri Hamburger bence hayal kirikligi
The dark horse for an expense account dinner in the hood, but worth it. Can't go wrong with the appetizers
Their chicken thigh pot pie is a must, especially in the brutal New York winter. Also the salmon tartar and lobster soup. The cheesecake lollipops are too sweet but cut to look at.
Everything here is good but the burger is to die for. Their desserts are also quite tasty.
Restaurant week menu was awesome!
Get the monkey bread for dessert. So good.
Great for a spacious soho brunch. Bacon is next level and everything else is up to par
Great for a quiet and nice brunch in soho
This place is a GEM!!! Perfect for a family with a few children. A fun, creative menu, and they'll adapt it to your needs/choice. We had the brunch menu and it was fantastic!
Great selection of starters - make sure to taste them all. Steak quality is superb with a nice cut and well aged. Deserts are amazing - go for the Monkeybread or the Cheescake Lollipops.
Amazing food for brunch... Ask about any specials! The bread basket is amazing, try one of each of the four selections!
Everything is amazing esp short ribs (pictured)
Tons of great menu items to choose from. Short ribs are incredible and always a good choice.
Really bad, mold on my toast!
Not a great lobster roll here. They make it with mayo instead of butter
Be sure to come with a group if 4 or more if you want a table with an umbrella on those sunny summer days.
The Jars are interesting. The outdoor at the James Hotel is very nice. Nice Bloody Mary's.
Sip on a "Kitchen Arnie" and order the pretzel-crusted crab cake.
The dates stuffed in peanut butter and then wrapped in bacon
Maple bacon peanut butter dates may be the most incredible taste I've ever experienced.
Burrata, lobster dumplings
Great salmon. Good pretzel crab caken
Their salads are amazing. The chicken or steak for two also hit the spot.
Short rib was amazing
Lobster dumpling + Short Rib + Chocolate hazelnut crunch bar = my restaurant week lunch
The Frozen Arnold Palmer is amazing, but so are all the other desserts. Save room for something!
Great food, good atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Don't forget to grab some peanut brittle on the way out! It's in a jar in the buffet next to the hostess stand.
No part of that meal was worth the price.
Monkey bread for 2 is really for 4+...but delicious and comes with a to go tin!
The Bitches Say: A-. Some of the dishes at David Burke's Kitchen—like the French toast and crab cake pretzel—were remarkable, while others were mediocre. Winner of the 2013 Best Hotel Brunch Award!
I appreciate that the food is farm to form but the breakfast is on par with a cheap diner.
Short rib and the pork chop are both great. The duck special and the foie gras potted duck were just okay. Octopus app is very good. The pecan pie with bourbon ice cream and the red velvet cake also👌
What a deception ! It doesn't worth 9,2 on 4sq ! Noisy Restaurant in a basement !? Crab cake is a joke ! Dry & not testy. Roasted chicken with Brussels ? Do it yourself and save 200$ !
Gluttony has met its match. So indulgent but utterly delicious. Great wait staff, lobster w/ lavender Brussel sprouts is delish. Monkey bread dessert is incredible but large serving - good for 4+.
Generous portions but the bread basket and appetizers are the best part of the meal - the pretzel crab cakes, lobster dumpling soup and burrata, asparagus and prosciutto are good; skip the lamb chops
Honey glazed salmon with quinoa cooked medium was really good!
I was thoroughly impressed. Short rib on the mac n cheese is one of the better dishes I have ever had. Biggest surprise? The whipped cream that came with the cake pop tree. Wow. Amazing.
Love the outdoor garden. Makes you feel like you're away on vacation.
It has the same problem that all of David Burke's places have: everything is fantastic and creative except for the entrees. His main courses are just uninspired, so just order more jars!
