Neighborhood joint serving comfort food with a southern flavor. Lunch: Mon-Fri 11:30am-.5pm. Sat & Sun brunch 11am-4pm. Dinner every night begins 5pm.
The gumbo is nice and spicy! The blacked fish is tasty. If you want to talk, this is a good place to go to!
The burger and shrimp & grits for brunch were stand outs. Love the pretzel bun on the burger, it was a great touch.
Good atmosphere. A little pricey. Big portions.
Chicken confit wings are sweet & very tasty.
The french toast was great. The andouille cheesy omelette was good. BYOT (tabasco)
Start with some deviled eggs and a glass of good local draft beer. It's wise to come with friends so you can share the burger, okra étouffée (add crawfish) with a side of deep fried Brussels sprouts
The menu looks like a good idea but everything was really really bland. The Bloody Mary was good but every other single thing... No herbs. No seasoning. No salt. No thanks.
Catfish, and biscuits.
For brunch, the Short Rib Hash & Poached Eggs is very good.
I love the Carolina Grits. Best grits I have had in Prospect Heights or Crown Heights.
The Buttermilk Biscuit is so amazing.
For brunch, get the Carolina Sunrise. BBQ Pork and Sunny Side Eggs on a Buttermilk Biscuit with Carolina Grits. So good.
Wonderful Dark & Stormy.
Has an amazing spicy Bloody Mary.
Great spot to grab a delicious brunch in Prospect Heights.
The BACON! Biscuits are great too!
Great happy hour specials, and wonderful bartenders.
Would you believe there is actually a great spot that's great for groups? Lots of space, lovely atmosphere, diverse menu, a lot of beers, great service and cheap wine!
The best brunch spot! Casual with a neighborhood atmosphere. Carolina sunrise (homemade biscuits, pulled pork, poached eggs, grits) is incredible.
buttermilk biscuit with jalapeño jelly to die for!
Burger is great. Jerk chicken wings are delicious but extremely spicy. Beware!
Shrimp po'boy was tasty! Super filling too. And the brussel sprouts were yummy
Great vibe, Satanic Deviled Eggs and delicious Pan Roasted Chicken
The Classic Wings Are A Must Have!!
Either the short rib hash or the Carolina sunrise are winners for brunch.
Burgers are excellent! !!
Beware, wings are loaded with sodium here!
Best Southern brunch in the neighborhood. Get the two eggs special with cheese grits and a biscuit. They're the best I've tried in the North.
Cozy little bar with suprisingly good food. Try the burger or any cajun dish
Crawfish Mac and cheese is the truth!
Honey Boo Boo Child!!!
Groovy and pleasant place. Solidly good food. Happy hour is fun with $1 oysters!
The $12 three course weekday brunch is a great deal!
Was a long time customer however will not be returning for a while. Customer service (managers) has gone down hill.
Heather is awesome, the drinks are great, and the food is ridiculous. Go!
short rib hash with poached eggs, curried potatoes and avocado-jalapeño-cilantro, with a bloody mary...perfect brunch
Get the veggie mess! Great brunch, great super friendly service!
Food is good. Portions are too small for the money. If u order chicken...nice serving. Order fish...your portion a Half the size. Needs improvement.
Ps: the shrimp po boy is life changing! Do it.
The menu items change from time to time but are ALWAYS fantastic. For example, my fave crawfish fettucine is gone, but now there's a crawfish mac & cheese in the sides section. I'm ok w/ that!
The best Bloody Marys! The spicy green beans adds a great kick.
The short rib hash is fantastic!
The burger is fantastic and the happy hour is on point and I love how much the locals enjoy watching the game on TV at the bar.
Great shrimp po boy, happy hour and atmosphere!
The food is pretty decent, but the big plus is how child friendly it is (early in the evening) without being a child focused restaurant.
Don't get the fettuccine & crawfish. Huge disappointment. Milky & bland. Banana bread pudding is great but sometimes u get whipped cream & sometimes u don't. Should b consistent. Still an improvement
New chef is phenomenal. Authentic Creole Cuisine. Gumbo and shrimp n grits are awesome and spicy. Chicken livers are excellent. So ecstatic!
nice storytime. Don't be put off if you've never been here before. Enter on underhill, $5 to counter person (who will stare at you expectantly).
Even though I'm not a fan of ginger beer, loved the mule with rye and lemon juice.
