You don't go to Death Valley looking for great food. You come for the hiking and the fantastic views. The scenery is like no other place you have been. You will find desert, trees, volcanic remains.

Simply spectacular. One day tour: Mesquite Sand Dunes, Zabriskie Point, Artist's Drive, Badwater Basin at sunset and Zabriskie at night. Racetrack playa needs a day on its own.

Cycling from Furnace Creek to Dante's View is fantastic but not for those out-of-shape. 40+ miles round trip. Don't forget a windbreaker for the descent. 15 degrees colder at the top.

Words and pictures can't do justice... Mysterious and gorgeous DV has a powerful, unique energy and is comparable to no place I've ever been. Quiet your mind, just feel, and listen with your soul

Totally worth driving through the best spots in Death Valley early AM (enter the park before 6am in the summer to avoid super heat starting as of 10am) - rent a convertible to do that - priceless!!!

Zabrieski point must go, so is Dante's point. Make sure you wear sturdy/ hiking boots and you'll be rewarded with spectacular sights

The scenery looks (literally) out of this world. In summer take plenty water and sun protection. Zabriskie Point, Badwater, Artists Palette and Ubehebe Crater are places not to miss.

While driving, keep your speed down. The number one cause of Death in Death Valley is single-car rollovers. Be prepared with this free emergency app from the Red Cross. Read more

I love it! Look for an experience? Drive on Titus Canyon Rd. Not enough? Try the Lippincott Pass, on right after the moving rocks

I liked but I was expecting more based on all ads and its size, it has many closed parts, not well signed, restrooms on the road really dirty and full of flys, need to see Red Rock Canyon to improve

December here is awesome. Shortened days are made up for by the pleasant weather. Also (oddly) less crowded. Start your day early.
