Oldest swimming pool in Texas and perfect for laps! Huge hillside for lounging, sunbathing or just enjoying a great book!
Not quite Barton Springs but less crowded. I often go here to escape the crowds.
In the early 1900's, Deep Eddy hosted a circus show with horses diving into it (Lorena's diving horse). - Check out the mural on the Northwest side for a very cool history of Deep Eddy timeline.
Cool & refreshing!
Bring cash! Love the laid back feel compared to BS... A little more secretive.
Classic Austin spot. The water is always freezing, so be prepared for that. The lap pool can get crowded if you're into that.
Movie night every Saturday for June and July.
Went here after seeing the line at Barton. Same water source ... So much less crowded. Cleaner bathrooms.
The mural is fabulous be sure to see it up close!
Deep Eddy Park is home to the oldest swimming pool in Texas! On Saturday nights during the summer, bring your favorite float, $3, and good company to enjoy the showing of a classic movie.
Off the beaten path and one of the best pools for kids in Austin. (Great for lap swimmers too.)
Best place for swimming!
It's got cool water like Barton Springs, but it's got swimming lanes that are 33 yards long. Truly funky and truly Austin!
Great people watching
No other way to spend a Saturday night!
Watch out for the floating bandaids and plastic bottles.
Want to catch the swimmers in action? Experiment with different shutter speeds -a fast shutter speed can freeze action, whereas a slow shutter speed can blur a moving subject.
Be sure to check the summer schedule for Splash Party Movie Nights, when families can float and catch a free flick on an outdoor screen. Powered by ParentsConnect.com
Clean COLD water!
Spring water (it's kinda cold!) with lap lanes for exercise, and a great shallow end for kids and big dippers alike. Glorious. Have a Jim-Jim's water ice after your summer cooldown.
Swam laps for thirty minutes. Ahhh...heaven.
