Not quite Barton Springs but less crowded. I often go here to escape the crowds.

In the early 1900's, Deep Eddy hosted a circus show with horses diving into it (Lorena's diving horse). - Check out the mural on the Northwest side for a very cool history of Deep Eddy timeline.

Classic Austin spot. The water is always freezing, so be prepared for that. The lap pool can get crowded if you're into that.

Off the beaten path and one of the best pools for kids in Austin. (Great for lap swimmers too.)

It's got cool water like Barton Springs, but it's got swimming lanes that are 33 yards long. Truly funky and truly Austin!

Want to catch the swimmers in action? Experiment with different shutter speeds -a fast shutter speed can freeze action, whereas a slow shutter speed can blur a moving subject.

Spring water (it's kinda cold!) with lap lanes for exercise, and a great shallow end for kids and big dippers alike. Glorious. Have a Jim-Jim's water ice after your summer cooldown.
