Derring Hall contains offices, classrooms, and laboratory space for many of the science programs at Virginia Tech, such as biological sciences and geoscience. The Museum of Geosciences is also in the building.
Exhibits include the OmniGlobe, gems, minerals, and a full-scale model of an Allosaurus dinosaur skeleton with a 2500 square feet exhibit room!
Check out the 7-foot-high OmniGlobe in the Museum of Geosciences. It gives an astronaut’s view of the Earth without leaving the ground.
