The Civic Center of Greater Des Moines servse as an outstanding community performing arts center, accessible to all, where people may be educated, entertained and enlightened.
I am often here for work and never have a bad experience. Enjoy their staff, the performances, and connecting with other people in the arts here.
Pre-order your drinks for intermission. Ask your bartender!
See wicked! was a great performance!
For many musicals the seating is better in the back for acoustics.
The seating effing SUCKS here. Old man after old man climbs over you and trips on your feet. The seats are so effing narrow it's awkward as f@*k to try and stand up to let people pass.
The StageWest season ticket is a great value. They do thought-provoking, fun performances at the Civic Center's Stoner Theater.
Get season tickets. Seriously. For a little more than you pay for one show, you can go to 5-7 shows at astonishingly affordable prices. Park at 5th and Walnut -- it's hardly used on show nights.
I thought Wicked was a good show. I did not find myself humming any tunes as I left. This will most likely be the only time I see this production.
Book of Mormon, fantastic production!
Bring It On! <3
Go to court ave for drinks before... they are way cheaper! I suggest mickeys
Great venue for both Broadway road shows and concerts!
I went to see Book of Mormon here! If you're a bigger person the seats are a tight squeeze, though.
Blue man group
Try and get seats lower than doors E4&W4
Mr. Valli was AMAZING & AWESOME! A GREAT entertainer! We had a terrific time!!
Frankie Valli - his Four Seasons were cute.
Not a bad seat in the house...except the one you didn't buy.
Symphony sounds just as good in a $15 seat.
They sell Chocolate Storybook goodies at the concessions! Yum! Do it!
Always a good show here. Extreme sides of the aisles block most of the view of the stage. Event staff have been less than polite.
Yo Gabba Gabba was fantastic
Fresh Beat Band going Bananas!
Les Misérables is AMAZING!!!
You better BRING IT!
If you're going to see Wicked come 2 1/2 hours early and try your luck at the lottery. We got a pair of orchestra seats for $25 each! Cash on hand a must.
Not a single bad seat here!
