    It's not necessary to buy brown envelopes sold by vendors outside gate 2 anymore when you're processing for your red ribbon as long as you brought your own folder with you.

    Almost everyone has no sense of customer service. They shout and talk to people in a not-so-friendly manner. The only friendly employee i saw was the white-haired lady in the processing area.

    Scam City Alert: you don't need brown envelopes with plastic when applying for or renewing your passport. Vendors outside are yelling that you do.. Just bring the requirements on the list.

    For first time passport applicants (online appointment): print all of the pages inlcuded in the pdf file of the application form. The checker will ask you to hand it over to them.

    No need to buy envelopes sold by vendors near Gate 1 for passport renewal. Line for photocopy is long. Bring photocopies of ID, and both front & back of passport to save time. Airconditioning is good.

    Even when they say be there 30 min before your appointment time, it doesn't hurt to be even earlier than that (like an hour) because the like begins outside at the verification counter.

    Stupid rules.... My was on a list, so i had to go to investigation, opens at 8am abd look at the pic, taken at 815, empty. Even the list with my name, saying i have to be checked, no picture!!!!!

    For expresslane/extension/endorsement letter, proceed to GATE 3. Leave early if without an appointment, to avoid long queue. Don't forget to RENEW your passport 9 months before expiration!!!

    It doesn't matter if your appointment is early but it helps to be early for your appointment. There's lots of long waiting to be done, sometimes under the sun.

    rate of processing at 2nd floor, step 3 (encoding and enrollment) is roughly 100 persons per hour. feel free to step out while waiting.
