Best pizza I have ever had in my life, the crust is beyond phenomenal. Anything you order is unreal. It is worth all the hype. A plain pie is $30 but it's totally worth the price. Cash only!

The above average slice isn't worth the waiting time, but it's an institution that merits at least a visit.

This was bad... I wish it lived up to the hype. I'm actually shocked how bad this was. Too salty, ingredients are poor quality. It was maybe good long time ago

As silly as it sounds, by a square slice or three to share while you wait for your pizza. It will prime your appetite for a spectacular pie.

I stopped by on Sat around 7pm and got my square slice right away. I admire the man how he make them, but it definitely was not the best pizza I had. It was thin and crunchy but the rest was mediocre.

It was delicious and definitely a step above other new york pizza places, but ultimately not the best I've ever had. Pizza crust was great, thin and crispy though.

The "classic" is topped with sausage, peppers, mushrooms, and onions ($33), but the "regular" ($29) lets you appreciate the pure goodness. Read more

Overrated, overpriced and not worth the trip to Midwood.

Pizza is good, but not worth the 40 minute train ride + 2 hour wait! Bring a lawn chair to chill on the street because it's definitely an all day event.

    Alyssa Foote · August 7
  • Joan P.

the di fara classic was olive oil drenched cheesy goodness but the square pizza's crunchy crust blew us away. worth the 1.5 hr wait and $33+ per pizza pie.

Pizza takes a while but is worth it. Advise you go grab some beers and bring em back to drink while waiting/eating

    Sam Selfridge · May 24
  • Lori L.

You'll have to wait in line for a slice of this legendary pizza. Go for the Square Pie, which has just the right amount of chew and is topped off with fresh basil.

    Lori Luo · May 14
  • David N.

Well worth the wait. Try both square and regular, but regular is better

Order at Di Fara and walk around the corner to sibling Italian comfort food restaurant MD Kitchen. Because what makes a 2 hour wait for bread, sauce, and cheese better? Shrimp parmigiana heroes.

Quaint. cute seeing the old man work solo. Painstakingly slow. His son helps by cutting the basil. Otherwise there's no one else working meaning 1-2 hour wait for a pie, which can be soggy or burnt

    The pizza, duh!

    Eli Taylor · March 27

Sublime. Theatric. Almost medieval in the level of artisanship. But you'll wait(and pay) for it.

The square pie is even better than Prince Street pizza. There, I said it.

The pizza here is some of the best if not the best I've ever had. Slices take a while and press are pricey at $30. Fresh basil on top and the flavors are out of this world.

  • Epicurious

Slices are available, but it's best to come with a group and share a whole pizza topped with, say, fresh baby artichokes or real, thick-cut pepperoni. Read more
