Try the bar (no waiting) instead of waiting for an hour for a table.
Dumplings are must
don't be deceived by the fact that this spot is in a mall. outpost of the Tapei original and the best dim sum I've had outside of Asia. soup dumplings are redonk.
Try the Shrimp And Pork Shao Mai and spot it on Foodspotting!
Fried shrimp rice is so good!!!
Best pork dumplings anywhere in the world.
Din Tai Fung is known for its high-quality xiao long bao, but also try the shrimp and pork shao mai. Also, bar seating can help you avoid the long waits in the main dining area.
Great dumplings! Many veggie options on the menu!
If you think the xiao long baos are the best here, then you obviously haven't tried them at Long's noodle house or Chen's in Vancouver. At Din Tai Fung their pork dumplings are below average.
Get the juicy pork dumplings over the pork and shrimp or anything else.
Hit the bar, first come, first served. There are two flat screens tuned to ESPN, so get your sports in when you're devouring great dumplings.
If ur from Vancouver, this will be a little bit expensive. Vinegar is a little strange tasting. OK, but not as good as back in Asia.
Try the Red Bean Rice Cake and spot it on Foodspotting!
Juicy Pork or Juicy Crab & Pork Dumplings. Let it explode in your mouth or poke a hole in it to let it drip in your spoon! Then dip!
Bao is the world's best comfort food :)
Order their juicy pork. Two in a row - because you'll want more!
sit at the bar. no wait!
Its a little overpriced for the portions but the food was decent
Love it..so does my family...and their friends..what a riot
Get here before they open. Line wrapped around door by 11am. You can watch them make dumplings in kitchen while you wait.
Check in early Sunday morning for their limited production juice dumpling in soup.
Unfortunately, the veggie dumplings are not good at all
Ask for chili oil
Ann's sister works here. Marking numbers on cards is fun. Except when you have to pay. Windows are not a good exit strategy. Need more distractions and a weather balloon. Suggestions?
Everything's good here.
If there's a seat at the bar, take it. Full menu, awesome service, and great drinks
Terrific dumplings, but that's expected. Our waiter Andy was, perhaps, the nicest and most efficient server I've seen anywhere. Let's make him famous! Oh, and try the shrimp dumplings. Here's a photo
Door manner fucking sucks.
Your life is not complete till you taste the juicy pork dumplings here. True story.
Get XiaiLamBao or Juicy Pork Dumplings !!
Get the mango smoothie w/boba & extra boba on the side!
They won't even put your name in the list unless your party is all there.
Xaio Long Bo - that's all there is to say. (Don't worry about ordering too much their take home boxes are lovely!)
What is the big deal about this place? Its supposed to be this award winning, authentic tasting Xiao Long Bao (Shanghai Pork Dumpling) but it failed to impress. Lacked juice & served warm. Thumbs down
Try mixing n14 sauce with fried rice! My favorite!!
Everything is delicious except the pork & crab dumpling (D2)--avoid those.
Is it just me, or do all of the waitresses look like they just stepped out of Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" video?
shrimp & pork wonton (N14) rocks
visit early Monday afternoon ...no waiting
Park at Lincoln Square by the north elevators
Been wanting to go here every since went to the one in Sydney. The soupy pork dumplings and Bok choy rule all could eat those weekly. Yum yum
Um, in case the other 183 tips don't convince you that this place is legit... You better stay away, because I'd rather not have to wait 1 hour for a table... But I will if I must. :-)
A lot of Asianphiles here, a good place to go if you want a lot of them to ask you where you're from. Then make them buy you more food
Try the Vegitarian Dumplings - Yummy! (via @Foodspotting)
Juicy pork dumplings. The best thing I have ever eaten in my life. If you're into addictions you can order those.
Must gets: Juicy Pork Dumplings, Shrimp & Pork Shao Mai, Braised Beef Soup (Spicy), Shrimp & Pork Wonton w/Spicy Sauce
