Walk the loop! It's got great views. If you don't have a dog with you, head downtown one of the beaches - it's gorgeous, and the trip adds about 30 flights of stairs to your excursion.

We dare you to take the best possible picture of yourself with the Olympic Mountain behind you in the background, then find the closest active sand dune and try to build a sand castle.
The loop trail is hands down my favorite hike!
The coolest park in Seattle. Watch the sunset over the Olympics. Take a 3-mile loop hike that feels like you're in the rainforest. Head to the beach and lighthouse if you have time.
Sea otters hang out in the rocks along the north beach trail. If you're lucky, you might see them!
Hidden valley trail!
Little known fact about this park: During WWII it housed Italian prisoners of war. There was a controversial riot between African American prison guards and the Italian POWs.
2.8mi Loop Trail for a nice walk. Nicely kept park.

Keep your eye out for bald eagles on the south beach trail. They like to hang out in the wooded area overlooking the sound.
In the summer, sit on a bluff and watch as all the cruise ships leave for Alaska between between 4 and 6pm

Discovery Park - the beach there was absolutely gorgeous! Great view of the Olympic mountains AND of Mt Rainier - Margarethe (Austria)
