To get here from downtown on the cheap: Take the train to Mo Chit BTS station (cost ~40 Baht depending on where you start). Then take A1 or A2 bus for 30 Baht. Easy peasy.

The second main airport in Bangkok, nothing too fancy but at least has all the basic shops.Theres no metro connection but you can always take the handy bus and get in Victory Monument, enjoy BKK!

Don't forget to bring your pen with you, it's a nice country, easily get your On Arrival Visa and have fun. They have a long queue of taxi passengers but it doesn't take your time so much #Thailand

An airport that's much more convenient compared to Suvarnabhumi International in terms of crowd management. Taxi fares are not much too. Quite a number of eateries inside the terminal as well.

One of the best reasons to fly LCCs in SEA. Land in DMIA, where's it's less busy than Suvarnabhumi (on a good day). Older, compact layout also means less walking from aerobridge to exit.

Krispy Kreme is available only in Bangkok (no other province in Thailand has as of March 2014). Good sweet treat to bring to friends & relatives in other provinces. Available in departing terminal.

If you're looking for good food without the airport prices. On floor 2 near front middle of the airport follow signs to arimi hotel. In the concourse here's a lunch buffet for 120 baht - delicious.

The shops and restaurants to the gates are pretty distance. In case, you don't want to sweat all over before boarding, do plan to leave earlier.

For cheap Thai food in the airport go look for the Magic Food court. You have to go to the first floor, walk past Terminal 1, go outside and keep walking till you get to the parking lot.

No free wifi in airport. Starbucks charges 150 Baht for 1 hour wifi card. Best bet is to ask someone to share their hotspot! Thank you to the nice girl from Singapore for doing this for me :))

If you are alone with no luggage, you can try bus 29 with 14 baht or bus A1 with 30 baht. The bus 29 runs 24/7 so its convenient for you. Once you arrive Chatuchark, its easyyyy!

Easy to navigate and quick to get through, but a bit plain in terms of food and shopping options. More of a clean, nuts and bolts airport.

Some advised if you are first time in Bangkok. Buy the unlimited data simcard. Never take tuk-tuk, take meter taxi instead. It's even cheaper than bts if you are in a group of 4.
  • TsuiRen C.
Impossible to grab an Uber, Grab, or taxi from here on Friday night. Just head out of Gate 6 to take A1 bus, get off at Mo Chit BTS and continue on to your destination via BTS. Bus fare: 30Baht/pax

Small and old. But the domestic hall is very new and modern looking. Better if the international hall can be redesign. Overall is still a good place.

Restaurants at land side are often crowded so it's best to have your meal elsewhere before heading here. There are mainly fast food restaurants at air side area.

This place can be an absolute zoo with activity (even at odd hours of the day/night), but even for our international flight, we were through security, customs and at our gate in less than 25 minutes.

For plane spotting at land side, go to the observation deck near the restaurants. For air side, better photo opportunity at the end of the pier (gates). Enjoy!
