Don't forget to stop by the popcorn machine.
Donn's Depot was originally started by Donn Adelman, a staple of the Austin music scene since 1961, as a piano bar with revolving acts and performances each week by his own band.
Ladies - check out the women's restroom. You will want to hang out in there all night. You can spy on the crowd from a secret window. Find out for yourself!
Come on a Friday when Donn & the Station Masters are playing.
Great music, free popcorn and my favorite spot when I want to lay low.
Talk to Tammy, she is the empress of Donn's.
Come on Wednesday nights for Frank Cavitt's awesome old school country music
If you are a female, be sure to take a trip to the plush women's bathroom. Deep thought and convo can be had in the elevated seating.
Tammy is THE best waitress!!!
Read the walls and laugh laugh laugh.
Off-beat and off the beaten path. Where the only thing stronger than the drinks are the Aqua Velva and Hai Karate. Just do it.
Michelle and Tammy are the best!! Favorite place for post-work cocktails :)
Thursdays with Murphy's Inlaws rule!
Dive bar for sure!
The women's bathroom is awesome! Bring a camera
Great hangin place
Expect an older crowd (40s-80s) but as a group of 27ish tourist females we got some local flavor of true live music & dancing in Texas! Loved the sweet older people having the time of their lives!
So... Evidently Duffy blows dudes (Dbd.) how many can you find?
Michelle #FTW. Love her!
Great waitress & I love the pole in the bathroom!!
Coolest bathroom in Austin
Only one run of popcotn per night. Get ya some!
Really OLD school. Regretfully they can't make Old Fashioned cocktails because they don't have oranges. WTF.
If you're into a mixed social scene, tasty beer and of course country dancing, Donn's is your spot.
Happy New Year, 2013!!!
Snowflakes hang from ceiling beams in this old converted Missouri-Pacific railroad depot. With the ladies loo serving as an actual caboose, Donn’s Depot is, yes, a trippy full-throttle good ol’ time.
Make friends with the bartender, sit outside and enjoy a pitcher with friends. A guaranteed good time, dance floor and all.
One of the best dive bars in Austin. Friendly waitstaff, GREAT live music, and there's dancing every Friday.
With the best bar staff in the world, this is the Cheers of Austin! :-)
Great session music jams
