    Mid-day menu was small, but the fried chicken sandwich was delicious. Queen B was yummy and pretty, plus they serve Rocket Fuel. Servers were so friendly and attentive. Well-staffed! Perfect date spot

    Shrimp and grits with the poached eggs and bacon. Nice combination of textures and flavors. Pho broth with cilantro and scallions give the dish a refreshing new take on traditional southern dish.

    The food is incredible. I had the curry fish and chips and it was perfect. Cooked as you'd expect, lightly breaded on a bed of curry sauce. The fries were on point too. The menu changes regularly.

    So glad to see vegan breakfast tacos added to the menu. Roasted Vegetables, Spices, Tofu, Peppers, Avocado, Arugula. The eggplant and onions are smoked overnight. Really tasty stuff!

    Houston Dairymaids cheese plate is a must for an appetizer! The cheeses and fruit are delicious combinations. Also the Pimms cup is pretty legit if you like gin.

    Second time there. This time I wasn't abused by a snobby bartender but the waitresses (we had two for some reason even after telling them) sniffed our food in front of us. Hair was in our zucchini.

    Service here is always very slow, but they do have free wifi answer plenty of outlets. Ideal place to hang out and do a bit of work on the laptop. Bacon/peach salad is yumm!

    Hmmm... They offer beer pairings with every dish. Try the pork belly banh mi, grilled lemon chicken sandwich with olive tapanade or the fish tacos with sauteed cabbage and carrots. Can be pricey.

    Down House's hybrid system can make service confusing. Seating is open, and no matter where you sit — the bar, the couches or the more traditional tables — there's a server to wait on you.

    Yum! Locavores welcome....the breakfast croissant with fried eggplant - I was skeptical but wow makes the sandwich and you can never go wrong with venison in your omelet. Must get cinnamon plum tea!

    The beer selection is great, but the food is barely ok. We waited over an hour and they didnt bring it complete. Although they did give us a discount. We dont plan on returning.
