Driftwood Room is a historic, retro-inspired bar located in the lobby of Portland's Hotel deLuxe that serves innovative and classic cocktails.
Dark and moody setting was amazing
Terribly small, super LOUD, and slow service. The pictures online make the place look huge. The few drinks I had were great, but not going back.
Dark, intimate place for a unique Manhattan. Helpful staff.
Late night happy hour is great! Cozy but glamorous.
Ask for the special Tommy Driftwood tour. If your waiter hasn't heard of it, he has. The password is "cachaca".
Quiet, dark, and tasty drinks. A bit off the beaten path, but worth a visit
come during happy hour for a delicious croque monsieur!
Bartender David is unreasonably hot
Super small and dark.
Reminds me of a speakeasy with its dark cedar walls and low lights. Specialty cocktails befitting its classic history and Hollywood glamour.
Try living in the 80s
Hh menu looks amazing
Try the Ginger Rogers! It's delicious :)
An Elizabeth Taylor and Gorgonzola cheesecake and HH after 2 Divine
No reservations, but the scalloped booth seats are lovely for two to snuggle into each other.
Excellent happy hour selection including the truffle fries which are absolutely to-die-for! Sip on a signature Strawberry Field champagne cocktail in one of the darkest, sensual bars in town. Cheers!
Bring your night vision goggles. It's dark!
Super great bar staff!
An upscale little bar inside the Hotel deLuxe, the Driftwood Room is a dimly lit charmer worth a stop early in the night if you're in the area.
Dark and mysterious ...
The fries are great & bartender makes a mean Gibson !!!
Incredible happy hour and Mike is a fantastic bartender!
Sip on an Elizabeth Taylor, a throat-tickling cocktail mixing champagne with crème de violette named after the late Hollywood star.
Happy hour 2pm to close all summer! Sweet!
Here's how happy hour works: order the sizzling mushrooms. eat 1/3. dump in the mac&cheese. eat. THEN order the $2 parm popcorn and toss into any sauce you have left in the pan. That's how its done!
Quiet in the afternoon during the week. Happy Hour starts at 2 pm. For Spring 2011, HH discounts on champagne cocktails - $6.
Order a Sloan Ranger. It's not on the menu anymore, but it is amazing.
Happy Hour prices are PHENOMENAL and the food is tasty with great portions for the price. Love it!
yummy happy hour, great cheese plate and sauted mushrooms.
The Bail Rathbone is a favorite. If you like spice get the Spicy Monkey
Mike makes the best Sazerac in the city. Hands down. Do it.
The Liz Taylor rocks and so does the chicken chowder. Excellent ambience but servers weren't too attentive to us sitting in the lobby at first.
My new favorite happy hour! The Elizabeth Taylor is like a really sophisticated grape soda -- and I mean that in a good way! The bartenders are very passionate and knowledgable about their jobs!
Great cocktails and probably the darkest bar in the city, so if you're looking for a clandestine location for a tryst, this is it; and if you're just look for a great bar, bring your flashlight app.
The Portland '85 is a great choice.
6-9 is the only time there's NOT happy hour here.
