    Take the guided tour. You can't access the underground part of the castle otherwise. The stories and sights are totally worth your money.

    Make sure you check the opening hours - the church was only open till 4 but the castle is open till 5, so we missed out on the church.

    Both inside and out, Dublin Castle is an impressive building steeped in history. Take your time to walk around and really immerse yourself in the surroundings.

    Not big deal... This castle doesn't show how was the real castle hundreds of years ago. Edinburgh's castle is much more impressive.
