The best coffee place on the station is AMT Coffee which is on platform 3/4.
Be prepared to queue if you're buying something from WH Smith. There is no fast payment facility for newspapers and you'll be delayed whilst they try and upsell giant Galaxy bars to other customers.
Trains to Brighton are usually on platform3
try not to be here too long. it's icky.
If you're heading towards London, check the number of coaches of your train & check the first carriage stop position along the platform so you can travel at the front and be first at London exit gates
Trains via Oxted to East Grinstead or Uckfield are from Platform 6
A very good and helpful Starbucks on platform 1
Fast trains to Victoria on plat 1 and slow usually plat 4.
Constant vigilance required: platform changes are frequent, last minute and often require running over 'don't run' signs. Plus staff are clueless/don't care
Not good for freight trains!
If you have time to spare, nip over to the Porter and Sorter for a pint.
AMT coffee stall. The one place you can actually buy a coffee rather than americano or daily brew or some other equally shite name. Also, it's small medium and large rather than tall, grande etc!
Everything in the Delice de France on platform 3 will be cold. I suppose that might not come as a surprise.
Use the mirrors in the platform tunnels to save yourself smashing into someone's face #win
Frequent fast trains to Clapham Junction!
Plat 1/2 and 4 for London victoria
get a free paper
£5 note dispensing cash machines for the win! Take a right before the main exit.
Platform 6 for Reigate
Try to set off 10 mins earlier than scheduled time if travelling in the morning as queues are horrendous.
Costa attached to the station, and Starbucks on platform 1 and 2 are great when you've got time to kill.
Trains to South Croydon are always from Platform 6.
Always use a licensed London taxi at ecs
Loads of licensed black taxis always available.
Cool area to relax
WH Smith closes at least 30 minutes before *official* closing time - you've been warned!!
The worst place on earth.
Watch out! Everyone is running for their train!
The seating area normally smells bad. Deal with the cold and wait on the platform
AMT coffee always good. Friendly staff too. Can't be easy dealing with grumpy (for good reason, train operators are shite) commuters.
Find the "fastest train to" monitor as its the most useful. Don't trust announcements!
London bridge leaves from platform 4
Very secure place, there's more police than staff here!!
Shit station! Watch out, trains randomly change platform! Cunts!
I feel sorry for anyone who lives in, or has to commute to/from, this grim excuse for civilisation.
Pure chaos 👎
An evil place.
Lovely Delice De France on platform 5...
Where the trains are always late
The view is depressing!
Quickest way to London Bridge is with the First Capital Connect to Bedford
Ignore anyone leaving tips that say "catch train to xxxxxx from Platform xxxxxx" arseholes
If you think the train is full here....wait until you get to Norwood Junction!
Try your best to get to this station @least 5mins b4 your train time!!!!
Burger king. Good but slow
AMT coffee shop the best on the station, avoid upper crust baguettes, they are not fresh.
£9 for two tins of stella and a mag
It has the starbucks
Delice de France likes to shut early. Should shut at 9pm, but can be seen closing its doors anytime from 8:30- with loads of food still left over!
