Lovely views on/of the East River & its surroundings 😍

What better way to enjoy the views of Midtown and Lower Manhattan on a sunny day than from a boat on the East River?
Definite recommendation for any tourists/visitors. Especially if you live in Murray Hill or Midtown East and want to go to Williamsburg or DUMBO

In July 2012, East River Ferry ridership reached one million passengers, more than doubling expectations in just over its first year of service.
By creating a reliable, affordable ferry service on the East River, residents have a sustainable transportation alternative to travel around the city.
Don't ever be late! The time says 12:30 be there 5-10mins ahead of time they don't wait, just be prepared stays on strict schedule. About a 5min shuttle very convenient
Use the app to buy your ticket with a card--for some reason they want to charge you an extra $1 to get a ticket on board with a card. They will let you board and use your phone to buy it, too.
If you don't know where you are going, pay attention rather than yelling at the poor ferry workers when you miss your stop ;)
Be on time because the ferry leaves the dock exactly according to schedule
Cool and stress-free way to see NYC. Never crossed two bridges these fast - Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge. Been in the Big Apple since the eighties but this is my first ferry tour!
One of our great services on the East River! We have several locations! You can even do a transfer at Pier 11, and make your way up the Hudson!
The best $4 you can spend to commute from Greepoint/Williamsburg to Downtown Manhattan. Absolutely breathtaking views. Have a nice trip! :)

Introduced in June, 2011, the ferry costs $4 each way and sets sail every 20 minutes. Take a quick, scenic ride to Long Island City (only five minutes away) or to Brooklyn and back.
Ride past Williamsburg during live concerts. It's like being in a Miami Vice episode
If you can look past the black smoke over the water, it's the best way to go to and from L.I.C., Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO, South Street Seaport, and Governor's Island.
There is no free coffee
Be on time. These ferries are running like clockwork. In fact, be a few mins early.
The iced coffee served on board in the morning is surprisingly good!
Worth $8 round trip to governors island, not packed to the gills like free ferries
Doesn't run on-schedule.
Brooklyn Roasting Co coffee on board! AMAZING.
Service is actually quite reliable. Check the schedule online before you go.

This is the best way to commute! Life-changing!
Service is VERY unreliable so don't count on the ferry when you're rushed. But when it works the ride is smooth & efficient.
Turn your back on Manhattan and relish the grit of BK's working waterfront.
