Migas are excellent!! Great spot.
A pioneer of the local locavore movement, Eastside Cafe has long been a byword for quality dining. The large herb and vegetable garden in back makes for fantastic fresh plates.
The beef and goat cheese enchiladas were great, but could have used one more on the plate, plus a little more goat cheese.
Not sure what to say other than all the tips posted re Meatloaf, pulled pork and the soup are spot on ... This place is aces
Seriously. The huevos are incredible. Why haven't you ordered them yet?

The Thai Chicken Salad was awesome! I loved the dressing with a kick!
Incredible. If you haven't had the Blue Plate Special, you haven't lived. Just ask Elaine.
You can't go wrong with the grilled meatloaf! The true Texas lime pie was perfect.
If you leave without eating the meatloaf, ask yourself why you even got out of bed this morning. DO IT!
Smoked salmon ravioli is extremely rich and decadent. Do it!
Acorn squash is super tasty
The food here is always fresh and delicious but can be a little pricey. If you're pinching pennies grab a blue plate special or a bowl of soup.
The food was fine. Too much whipped cream on the Belgian waffle for my taste. The major drawback was waiting for the food and then the check. If you're not in a hurry, things will be fine.
Fresh & Delicious food! One of our favorite dinner spots in Austin. Need I say more? You should also request Taylor as your server, she's awesome.
This longstanding Austin resto has become so popular. Avoid waiting by making lunch reservations.
The baked brie and apple chutney appetizer is amazing.
OMG my mother and I agree the little jalepeño cornbread muffins r sooo good, they're addictive!
The Shrimp & Goat cheese quesadilla are fantastic.
2 hour wait for Easter brunch! Heading across the street to Hoovers. Darn, I love Eastside Cafe.
Eñchilada and bugers for the veggies. Amazing! Fries and pickles. Key lime has the best crust I've ever tasted.
Elaines blue plate is delicious
Their artichoke mushroom soup was incredible. So creamy and well seasoned. In fact, everything I ate was incredible! I'll be back again soon!
Try the Roasted Meatloaf With Bacon Tomato Sauce And Broccoli With Lemon Butter - Excellent dish. The sauce makes it for sure!!!
Fresh & healthy! Great beer selection too!
Lots of great food from their onsite garden. Also, if the acorn squash is available, don't hesitate to get it. It's the cat's pajamas.
Drive by to check out the owners HausBar Farms (about a five minute drive away), and there you will see where the real majority of the eggs and produce come from.
This places rocks!
Elaine's Blue Plate!
Elaine's Blue PlAte!
Hands down, without doubt, the best place to eat in Austin. With all the veggies grown right out back, and amazing recipes to boot, you can't beat Eastside.
My friends uncle is the cook, so anytime you enjoy your food be sure to let him know!
