An omakase meal at Echigo will be modestly priced, but comprises up to 15 different courses of fish and shellfish. Some of the stars include fresh oysters, monkfish liver, and butterfish.

Order the Echigo beer. It's light, flavorful, and a perfect accompaniment to the omakase. If you're feeling bold, try the salmon roe or, even better, the flying fish roe. Both are incredible.

For the price, go to Sugarfish instead. Sushi was good but paid $40 and left very hungry.
