The museum seems a little upside down to me because I prefer Native art to a bunch of paintings of the West by dead white guys. In other words, don't miss the stuff upstairs!

If you do a tour and have younger aged children, ask for a tour guide that is used to that age group. Our tour guide got frustrated with our group and cut tour short.

A true gem in Indy- great art and moving exhibits in the heart of downtown. And the Sky City Cafe overlooking the Canal- SO. GOOD.

Great kids area on the lower level! Walk in off the canal and view the only American Indian and western art museum west of the Appalachians and east on the Mississippi!
