prefer lunch over breakfast. the chicken leg with mole negro is cooked to perfection - the meat falls off the bone and the mole has a good kick to it

Long waits to sit, good chicken. While I recognize this place has the hype, I'm not sure that the mole was much different from any other mole I've had.

Go for lunch and get the mole negro—chicken leg topped with a rich, thick dark mole sauce that's smokey, sweet, and slightly spicy. Make tacos out of it with the accompanying tortillas.

Recommend: escamoles(must), shrimp tacos, and chicken thigh with mole(although personally I think they put too much sauce on top)

Extremely disappointed... Maybe I had high expectations but seriously... there's sooo many better options for breakfast in this city. Go to El Mayor instead if you want to stay in Centro histórico

They have the best appetizer ever, but in general their problem is that they are too popular. Chicken breast in mole was old, I mean mole is a great thing if you want to hide chicken's imperfections..

If you go to one place in Mexico City, it should be El Cardenal. The breakfasts are legendary, especially the the hot chocolate and the"panes dulces" that put every other Mexican sweet bread to shame.
