Beautiful scenery. This is a much better place to visit than Zuma Beach.
This is a very fun beach to explore and visit. It is pretty rocky so beware of stepping down. And there is a lot of sea life all over the rocks.
View is gorgeous :)
One of the most beautiful places I have been in life.
I'm still in love for this beach. Sometimes on weekends in the summer the beach is full.
This is the most beautiful beach I've been to in the U.S. Worth the short hike: 10 min down 20 up mostly stairs. No bathroom by the beach but there are portapottys in the parking lot. Be warned.
Amazing! So beautiful. Truly a heaven.
Small secluded beach w cool rock formations.
Make sure you go when there's a sunset. The way the sun set is breathtaking, the views are beautiful, and there will be many couples doing wedding photos. Bring a jacket, it does get chilly.
Not as busy as other socal beaches. Don't be shocked to see a sealion or two. They like the beach too and come on shore to sun.
This beach is one of the most romantic I've been to. Filled with grottoes and rocks that meet the ocean where the waves crash, and allow you to take in the breath-taking scenery.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful. Make sure to capture the sunset
One of LA's best kept secrets :)
Incredible beach !
Great for photo shorting
Make sure you get your camera!
8 bucks all day parking
Crashing waves. Cool sand. Afternoon sun casting sidelong rays.
Love this beach :)
Just up the way from Zuma, but if you can find parking it's beautiful views and not as crowded
Great beach ! Scary steps!
Look out for porpoises!
You can't miss the sunset at El Matador!
Bypass Zuma Beach for this serene stretch tucked behind the cliffs. It’s a hike to the water but breathtaking rock formations and lack of people are worth it. Bring a jacket and $8 to park.
Beautiful beach! Came here with the Rainbow Girls of San Fernando Valley (volunteer girls club for ages 8-20) to clean the beach through Heal the Bay.
My wife and I would visit all the time before we got so busy. Quiet and not too busy. We got popped once for bringing our dogs onto the beach so be careful if you bring Fido- Jay, In the Big House
Park on the street to avoid the $8 lot fee!
My wife and I would visit this beach all the time before we got so damn busy. Quite and not too populated. We got popped once for bringing our dogs onto the beach so be careful if you bring Fido.
Be sure to wear sturdy sandals when visiting this remote location as it requires a bit of foot work down a sandy steep path. The sea caves and rock formations, however are absolutely worth the trek.

Website indicates they are dog friendly. They are NOT. Leo Carillo is, 3 miles north...
