People tend to check in during these times:
The El Rey Theater is an original art deco theater in the heart of the Miracle Mile, one of Los Angeles' preserved art deco districts.
Mid-sized concert venue that has the best of the new music coming through. Get tickets when you can. Don’t worry who is playing, it will be great. -Mark Peel, Top Chef
There are plenty of parking options around the venue, including street parking if you’re lucky. Or, valet your car right in front for just $10.
Don't take it from us. @CHELSEAinLA says: "This place is awesome, around the corner from my apartment, and they have @redbull."
El Rey is one of LA’s best mid-size venues. Jollett of the Airborne Toxic Event says he’s never seen a bad show here. More importantly, “it’s one of the few places in LA that actually has class.”
We put on events here from time to time... Basically really fun dance parties. It's a great venue. We'll see you at our next one hopefully.
One of the best live venues in LA. If you can get a spot in front or behind the soundboard, it'll sound even better.
No matter what. Stay behind the black lines!!!! :)
There's another bar upstairs just in case the main ones are too packed.
I love the vibe of this theatre! This has to be my favorite music venue in LA — the sound is always clear and I never have a problem getting close to the stage to checkout the band that is performing.
Phenomenal venue. Joe Moses is a genius.
My favorite music venue in Los Angeles. Great sound, clean and intimate. Leave your gum at home (or in your car).
Amazing venue! Saw Emily Haines here and it was out of this world!
Great venue to watch bands
decent venue. park on side streets, most are free, just obey those signs to avoid a ticket!
Don't bother showing up early... Artists go on late and there's not a bad location in the house.
I love this venue. perfect view from top of the stairs no matter who is taller than you. stake out a spot.
Free parking on side streets, but beware expensive drinks - $5 for a can of PBR and $9 for a pint of Guinness
Absolutely LOVE this venue. Great photographer policy.
Never miss an LA Weekly concert! Great venue!
actually there's nothing happening here tonight. I forgot it was Monday :(
A classic LA venue. Leave your gum behind, be nice to the security guards, and don't forget to look up at the ceiling in between bands. Almost every view's a good one here.
One of the best live music venues in LA! Stand on the steps to the right of the stage. Best view!
Avoid paying those dreaded Ticketmaster fees! If it's not an instant sell-out show, buy your tickets at Origami Vinyl ($2 per ticket fee, cash only) or direct from the El Rey website ($5/ticket.)
completely awesome. saw los campersinos here. perfect dance floor space, vintage chandelier/red velvet decor, great acoustics.
i've been here quite a few times to see La Roux, Little Boots, and Caribou play and it has never disappointed. Very great venue!
Saw the Bird and the Bee here, John Oats made a special appearance too
great place check it out
Missing the free No Age show.
Really great venue. Saw !!! (Chk chk chk) which were an awesome and energetic band
Worst fucking venue! Everyone who works there is clueless, disrespectful, and unorganized. I was appalled at the way I was treated. I did not get the VIP experience I paid for. Never going back!
If you saw Races open for The Joy Formidable and liked us, you can find us at races.bandcamp.com
Best seat in the house is right behind the sound board
Drink before you come, $10 beers.

the sound isn't very loud here for the space. only see a band here if you really WANT to
All ages is not the bidnessss
One of the best theatre if you're disabled. They treat you with respect, and go out their way to make them comfortable. Great intimate theatre.
These guys hve never been beat in their attention to accessible needs. I've never had a negative experience and never a bad word! Keep up the awesome job and thanks for making our night special!
Tiny drinks in the upstairs bar, but great service all around.
High on fire was bitchin' last night
Very classy venue. Try to get to shows there early to find a comfortable spot to watch.
Teens: this is the place for you to spend a night out with your friends! Make sure to get close to the stage so you can hang with your favorite up & coming acts.
