People tend to check in during these times:
The El Rey Theater is an original art deco theater in the heart of the Miracle Mile, one of Los Angeles' preserved art deco districts.
This is one of my favorite venues in LA. Not too small, but not big at all. Chairs available if you get there early. Stand near the sound booth.
Great place to see a concert - head upstairs if you need a breather.
Great concert venue, intimate with just enough space
Intimate concert venue. Love the 1920s vibe. Small but set up well.
Great venue and vibe. Came to see Army Of The Pharoahs.
Great lighting, fantastic chandeliers, and good sightlines makes this my favorite LA venue.
The sound here is outrageous. The chandeliers add a touch of elegance as well to this perfectly sized venue
Smallish venue. If you don't want to get super close to the stage, post up behind the barrier around the room for a pretty unobstructed view of the stage.
You can buy Loosies in the Bathroom. Try buying your ticket at the Venue so as to avoid very high service fees.
Saw the final Jack's Mannequin concert here! Go here for a concert, and then walk 10 minutes west toward the Urban Light art sculpture for some annoying hipster selfies.
great place check it out

Very classy venue. Try to get to shows there early to find a comfortable spot to watch.
Teens: this is the place for you to spend a night out with your friends! Make sure to get close to the stage so you can hang with your favorite up & coming acts.
During our June 2013 feature interview with EDM act Disclosure, member Howard Lawrence, noted that their Halloween show at El Rey Theatre was one of their favorite shows of 2012!
Missing the free No Age show.
Really great venue. Saw !!! (Chk chk chk) which were an awesome and energetic band
Get your drinks upstairs, they are always a better pour up there :)
Worst fucking venue! Everyone who works there is clueless, disrespectful, and unorganized. I was appalled at the way I was treated. I did not get the VIP experience I paid for. Never going back!
It smells like bootie outside.
Phenomenal venue. Joe Moses is a genius.
free parking on 6th St.
Kane Pryce's band, Astral Fountain, plays the El Rey in the novel Devil's Gate by F.J. Lennon. http://www.facebook.com/kaneprycenovels www.fjlennon.com

A classic LA venue. Leave your gum behind, be nice to the security guards, and don't forget to look up at the ceiling in between bands. Almost every view's a good one here.
I'm finally #mayor!! Who wants to go to El Rey Theater?! See u at the front line! >:D #suckas
Bar and music, small venue. Cheap night on the town.
Tonight they have butterscotch cream soda!
One of the best live music venues in LA! Stand on the steps to the right of the stage. Best view!
There's another bar upstairs just in case the main ones are too packed.
Free parking on side streets, but beware expensive drinks - $5 for a can of PBR and $9 for a pint of Guinness
Avoid paying those dreaded Ticketmaster fees! If it's not an instant sell-out show, buy your tickets at Origami Vinyl ($2 per ticket fee, cash only) or direct from the El Rey website ($5/ticket.)
If you saw Races open for The Joy Formidable and liked us, you can find us at races.bandcamp.com
One of the best live venues in LA. If you can get a spot in front or behind the soundboard, it'll sound even better.
First, this venue is beautiful. Get there early enough and street parking is easy to find. There's also a pay lot that isn't very expensive. It isn't difficult to find a great view here
There's only one entrance/exit to this venue...
We put on events here from time to time... Basically really fun dance parties. It's a great venue. We'll see you at our next one hopefully.
Don't park in a side street that goes North/South--they all require a special parking pass. Tickets are over $50.
El Rey is one of LA’s best mid-size venues. Jollett of the Airborne Toxic Event says he’s never seen a bad show here. More importantly, “it’s one of the few places in LA that actually has class.”
Best seat in the house is right behind the sound board
Don't bother showing up early... Artists go on late and there's not a bad location in the house.
Drink before you come, $10 beers.
saw the libertines here years ago.top venue.i love that I can walk here in five minutes.
