    Emo's is an institution. Right on Red River & E. 6th, it is in the middle of the action & the scene there is quite laid back with some rock n roll vibes. Highly recommended.

    After the show, walk across the street to Casino El Camino and order a burger from the window inside. You may be waiting a while, but it’s the best burger in Austin. – Robert F.

    Don't be fooled by the doormen, they are really nice guys. Two stages, "weird" Austin locals, lots of great drinks...what more can you ask for?

    Indoor bar has an earplug vending machine ($1.00 in quarters, totally worth it), but it steals your quarters sometimes.

    Outside bar is cash ONLY. So, make sure you stop at a ATM before you go, or pay the fee at the ATM right outside the door.

    Don't have cash? Bar by the indoor stage (tv, johnny cash pic) does credit cards. Much longer to get a drink tho. Not willing to wait, get cash to use at the several bars outside.

    Bring cash!! The only time I could use my check/credit card at that place was at the merch table. Also, there's free parking under the I-35 bridge just two streets down.
