Music, Friendly, Dancing Est. 1992
Very classic hipster bar. Slogan goes something like 'music friendly dancing' or something
Amazing dive bar and a Chicago punk institution. Acoustics suck though as it's always way too loud.
Live music every night, nice dive-y feel
Check out the Honkey Tonk Happy Hour on Fridays.
This is easily the best music venue in Chicago. If you disagree you clearly don't like having a good time.
Home away from home. Favorite place to see a show in Chicago.
Bomb shows and cheap drinks
Fun place with some good bands
Cool looking venue inside. Good drinks! However the sound was a little off and it was hard to hear the singer. I watched from the raised level and had no problem seeing.
ITS THE BOTTLE! you cant go wrong here ever! Killer music always, lots of great beers, and great people all the staff are awesome
Awesome bar! Good bands
Easygoing, cheap drinks, good times
Show up early for Windy City Soul Club in the winter, or pack a heavy coat.
Bring a sweater it gets chilly
The best in indie rock scene cheap liquors too.
Small and intimate venue with very comforting and positive vibes. Worth checking out. Decent prices on drinks, too.
Monday free concerts
Elliott Smith played here. So excellent to see a show here for reeeealzz! :)
Beer specials are pretty spectacular. $2.50 PBR works.
The Empty Bottle was named one of the "Best Rock Clubs in America" by Rolling Stone magazine!!

Talk to some of the nice folks who work there.
This is Chicago’s premier indie rock club, hosting cutting-edge bands from home and abroad. “Cheap Sundays” and free Mondays remove the financial risk from gambling on an unknown bill.
Be prepared to smell B.O at its finest!! Bring your scented candles or put vicks under your nose
The people smelled so foul. I don't think they've ever seen a bar of soap. This place was disgusting. I feel like I have to burn my clothes and shower in sanitizer!!!
Dont ever go here with my friends. Because its known as the NEVER Empty Bottle. They need therapy. The not Empty Bottle, but you know who you are....
One of the best venues in the city. Great drink specials, usually a dance party, bad ass photo booths. Late night food at Bite, and as always, RIP Radley.
The twister pinball steals money and the photobooth pics look like crap.
Get the Backyard Tea.
Don't overlook the pinball machines.
Intriguing selection of beers: Craft, bridge, and macro.
Free cover on Monday nights, plus $5 beer + shot o' whiskey.
Indie rock in vain.
Don't pass out on da couch. I did once. Bruce had to carry me and put me on a bus bench. <3 this club.
Great checkin special across the street at Lockdown
Awesome funk and soul club. But why is it that I always get approached by swingers??? I must have that vibe I guess =/
Great music venue with pretty awesome acoustics. In between sets for Gang Gang Dance, jump into the old photobooth with some pals. Added bonus - the tamale guy that comes around at the end of the nigh
Start (or end!) your night with the evening's drink combo, a rotating shot and a beer pair at a ridiculously low price.
