Make sure you are in good physical condition. There is an 80% chance the escalators will be out of service and the 125+ steps will definitely test you.
For Andriod users, I suggest downloading the SchedNYC app. It's mainly a schedule app for the NYC Subway but now it includes PATH schedules. Very nice and useful app IMHO.

I hate when the elevator doors don't close. That sucks.

Going up the stairs is better said than done. Halfway through it, you wonder why you took them. It's funny seeing people take them confidently, but end up slowing down a forth of the way up.
In the summer it's so beautiful by the water. Just relax and enjoy the view of New York City.
Don't forget to validate your light rail pass or the State of NJ will take your money by giving you a fine.

On the weekends, it's fun to watch the tourists take the "NWK" train thinking it goes to New York.
If you are halfway down the escalator and you hear the doors closing, no amount of running is going to get you on the train.
