Excellent cocktails. The sweetbreads stole the show.
Drinks are excellent, with kitschy "golden TV era" names like "Orange is the new House of Cards" and "Carcosa" (if you get this ilu). Sea scallops, squid, butternut squash pot de creme are excellent.
One of the best in the village. If you can't get a table, grab a seat at the bar.
Great bar, great food. Get the bone marrow, fried chicken, and gnocchi. Super solid cocktails.
This restaurant is awesome, grab seats at the bar and don't miss their special oyster mushrooms entree. It's succulent.
Hamachi, fried pigs head, crispy chicken
Got the mushroom appetizer with poached egg instead of a main - deep flavour and great textures.
Get the lamb shank! Just delicious. And don't forget the octopus for appetizer.
Cheesecake panna cotta, burrata.
Thank you for my old fashioned-old fashion. Classic place classic build of the drink.
Cozy and unassuming. Once caught Amy Poehler eating dinner with Louis C.K. here.
Crab cakes are to die for.
For a large party (8+ people), you can book this wonderful room in the basement. Exposed brick, rustic wooden table with an intimate atmosphere (am I turning you on?). The dishes do not disappoint.
Cocktails are all solid. The hamachi tartare is off the hook. And so is the key lime pie. #jsdb
Great original cocktails, strong pours, discrete bartenders.
Ok. Here's the deal. Get the chicken entree, liver / calamari app and black squirrel cocktail. Done.
The fried chicken was really something worth trying. Go early (before 7:30pm) the noise level to have a conversation becomes impossible after that.
Little Wisco's best restaurant and cocktail menu. Go early or super late as it gets crowded after 7pm
Songbird is awesome!!!
brussels sprouts! so good.
Sit at the bar. :) great bartenders!
Fantastic staff, great drinks and awesome food! The mushroom app was unreal and their ice box cake for dessert was delish!
Salmon is the way to go.
Quintessential West Village, dark and cozy. The specialty cocktails are awesome and the food is great. Try the brussel sprouts!
The sirloin for two easily feeds four and was delicious! Crispy fried chicken also very good.
Get the feel feel feel feel feel... or the squirrel old fashioned
Love this place! It's quaint, they have great wine and food, and wonderful service.
Best oysters. Best fried chicken.
Stuffed cabbage is out of this world. 👍👍
Gotta get the Brussels sprouts.
Get the fried chicken.
Cocktails and food are great. No a/c come in the winter
Another watch out. Small space = careless people spilling on you and your tiny table.
A bit of a douchey frat fest but the food is pretty good and the bartenders are nice. So there's that.
Service was great, delicious spicy margarita. Food was ok. The scallops were extremely salty.
Some of The best cocktails I ever had! An The people and the food is GREAT!
Friendly bartenders, cozy atmosphere & good food. Can't go wrong with the "Classics" for din. Def recommend the shiitake & oyster mushrooms. The banana pudding was also delish.
Try the Snoop Lion or the Black Squirrel Old Fashioned. Interesting cocktail list. Cool vibe, mix of people: Wall St., locals, hipsters, et al.
Fantastic cocktails. Dill + Gin, something about my "baby", and Jason Collins. Highly, highly recommend. Plus the bartender is a cocktail artist and chill. Go and be impressed.
Try the Sugar Pie - The sugar pie is so good and decadent. Cream on the top.
Don't Forget the Flowers: Milagro Blanco tequila shaken with lime and St. Germain, with grapefruit bitters and hum hibiscus liqueur.
The special whelk+ramps risotto was amazing! So were the cocktails and our bartender...thank you!
Sweetbreads and the artic char are amazing. Sexy bar scene, super friendly bartenders, Fernando is particularly awesome.
Being across the street, this place is our living room extension. Get the corner booth and try the mushroom/egg app and either the chicken or wagyu steak with the house Pinot Noir. Perfect.
A historic West Village space beautifully made over; go for some of the best cocktails in the Village, or for Montreal-born chef Mehdi Brunet-Benkritly's insanely delicious, slightly oddball menu.
You can't just come in for a drink when they're seating for dinner at the bar and its crazy crowded on the weekends. Point being don't come if you're not eating or on the weekends. Otherwise lovely.
Hook's cheddar poppers: oblong croquettes filled with cheddar from Wisconsin. The molten cheese finds its foil in a duo of sauces: one tomato-based, the other with smoky cream.
You MUST try the mushrooms!!!
