    This museum is in midtown Atlanta and the surroundings are so pretty. Really liked this place! Lots of exhibits ranging from dinosaurs, mammals and whales to pottery.

    Ground was broken in 1989 & on October 5, 1992, Fernbank Museum of Natural History opened to the public, becoming one of the only museums in the world to grow out of an old-growth forest.

    Check out the permanent exhibit "A Walk Through Time in Georgia" which tells the fascinating history of our state's diverse landscape of swamps, barrier islands, and mountains.
