Celebrity restaurateur Tony Allan started the fish! empire when he opened his first restaurant fish! in Borough market, the food produce mecca of London. fish! restaurant soon became a huge hit with businessmen and tourists alike, as they were served up top quality, ‘posh’ fish and chips.
Authentic fish and chips
Nice place but you would expect a higher quality on their fish, my hake was tasteless.
Battered haddock was top notch. Mushy peas were a little cold so they made or right by bringing out a new bowl
Had the fish and chips (x5) and consensus was it was just "ok". Should have tried something more specialized on the menu. Accepting an inside seat when it was warm out was a mistake; hotter inside.
Eating in is way overprice. Yu are better eating at take away. It's double the price.
I only ordered a battered sausage and chips but it took ages...didn't enjoy the curry sauce either.
Good fish and chips, but seriously overpriced! £17 for cod & chips with mushy peas. The wine is also really overpriced. Saying that I did enjoy it. Be prepared to spend £££'s.
Cod and chips
You can order any grilled/steamed fish with sides! Deliciously cooked - chips are alone wirth the trip!
Simple menu but go for the more elaborate fish dishes.
Great service and food was wonderful. I however did find that the price did not reflect the quality of the food.
I had the swordfish club and thoroughly enjoyed it
Fish finger sandwich...yum yum!
Fish and Chips are the real deal here!
This hidden gem is located right inside the markets
Suprisingly good food! Monkfish was a very good choice and the service was brilliant and attentive.
Acceptable food. High prices. Poor service. Do yourself a favour.. Keep walking.
Absolutely overpriced. Cod and chips and mushy peas taste nasty.
Oily mushy cod fish, don't bother
Beer battered cod with mushy peas is traditional but can be a bit heavy, especially washed down with beer. Pick something from the DIY grill menu for a lighter but just as tasty choice.
Big portions but not really good quality....too greasy...definitely overpriced....
Overpriced mediocre food. Bland, unexciting and predictable. Applebys around the corner is much better. Nice view though.
Having read really bad reviews about this place we thought we'd still try it out and decide for ourselves. The food was totally tasteless and overpriced, service was rushed. Nothing positive to say!
An outside table with the F!SH club sandwich and a glass of prosecco! On a summers day you could be by the Mediterranean!!
The swordfish club sandwich with crispy smoked salmon is gorgeous. Best chips too.
Alongside the fish and chips, try the haddock suppli (risotto balls) - lovely.
Tuna burger in case your wondering, home made chips
The sweet chilli fish cakes are amazing, but you only get 3 in case your wondering
We had a grilled sea bream and fish and chips (halibut). Both were delicious, but the fish&chips was exceptional. All fish, little batter, with homemade tartar sauce. Service is a bit clueless.
Right inside the Borough Market, this place makes a great fish and chips with huge portions. The price is a little high but great if you're in the mood for seafood.
Go for the fishcakes
Oysters are worth their price.
If taking away get the fish finger sandwich, it's top draw.
The Bigbury Bay Oysters are amazing. And so is the Cod, chips with mushy peas :)
good food, good spot
Came here for my birthday last December, it was overpriced and underquality. Service was average at best. Shame.
Muy buena la fish soup, y por su puesto el fish and chips
