You may wanna go see it if you're a tourist. Beyond being a tourist attraction, wharf offers great seafood restaurants options, along with other chains such as boudin, chipotle, in-an-out burger etc.

Fans of the traditional English seaside pier will feel right at home here: touristy but fun. Make sure to visit the pier head for great views of the bay and Alcatraz.

Must have gone during a high tourist season because I found the dramatic view of Fisherman's Wharf from the Golden Gate Bridge much preferable to actually visiting that area. Boudins is great though!

parking's a little pricey by my standards (20$) but its all day. the place to be would be pier 39. if youre planning to save $$, there are take out counters which have tables and seats.
