Mixed feelings. Food was awesome. Service tried. I spoke with 3 people about a nut allergy before sitting down. Almost broke out the epi pen. If your bill tops 400 that's an issue...
Best tasting menu I've ever seen. The lobster Mac and cheese is amazing and the desserts all are amazingly delicious
Excellent service. I was underwhelmed by the scallop dish and creativity. May have to go for the tasting menu next time.
The tasting menu is more than enough food and is a great way to try many things! Definitely try the truffle lobster mac and cheese!
The Valentines Menu this year is amazing!!! The Long Island duck and the passion fruit cheesecake are absolutely to die for.
The mussels are amazing! Get extra bread to soak up the amazing garlic sauce!!!
One of the best meals I've had in recent times. Did the "choose your own" tasting menu with beet salad, humbolt fog cheese (big serving), steak tartar, truffle lobster mac and cheese, & lemon soufflé.
One of my favorite restaurants in Portland. Always super friendly and delicious. They even helped me celebrate receiving my white coat!
They have a fantastic bar area where you can snag a stool spot and enjoy some snacks, cheese plates and libations. Worth it.
Steak top with some foie gras is delicious, rich and just damn awesome. Do it.
The 5 course tasting menu was fantastic and a good value
Lobster was perfectly cooked in the Traitors Eggs. Corn soup with fried hominy was a standout
Lobster Mac n cheese is to die for. Peach sangria was also very tasty!
FantasticWe can come grab Riley hunters game is almost done
Now ten years in, the award-winning restaurant from Steve and Michelle Corry is still going strong, providing a complete dining experience that isn't hip or trendy, just excellent. [Eater 18 Member]
Lobster traitor is out of this world.
Loved the lobster Mac. Simply great.
Tasting menu was delightful. Truly delish!
The grilled Caesar salad is amazing!
what a wonderful steak
Lobster mac and cheese! Oh yea!
Don't skip desserts here.
Recommended by local chef Erik Desjarlais: "Locals love their welcoming atmosphere, engaging service, and creative cuisine. The Corry's have experience from Domaine Chandon and The French Laundry."
truffle lobster mac n cheese to die for, not too rich for main meal
One of the better burgers in Portland. Definitely surprised me.
Steve Corry was named “Best New Chef in the U.S.” in 2007 by Food & Wine Magazine! Pre-order the tasting menu - always a treat!
Beware of the addictive pre-meal focaccia with chive butter, and save room for the house-churned ice cream. Five Fifty-Five is living proof that cooking with local ingredients is the only way to eat.
Bad service, great food.
truffled lobster mac n cheese is pretty amazing. the arugula salad is a little overdressed though and the scallops were nothing to write home about.
Try their flight of Johnny Walker.
Best mussels in Portland!
