Sunday brunch is very popular, but if you are just passing by, don’t miss out on their coffee to-go, served from a little window on the side. Or go for some oysters and cocktails at the end of the day Read more

kale salad is good but it has chunks of anchovy in the salad and not just in the dressing so I got sick of it half way through and pushed it to the side and ate my boyfriends truffle fries.

Now that the weather is warming up, grab a table outside at Five Leaves. Their house made Ricotta app is tough to beat for a sharing on a Date Night. Plan to arrive early or late, crowds can be tough.

Get there early to get a table, you might need to wait around 30 minutes at busy times. Get the truffle oil fries, the burger and the mushrooms on toast are amazing. Also try the mimosa cocktail!

It's hard to go wrong with this menu but two favorites are: the moroccan scramble and the burger. No reservations. Plan on a walk through the park or the hood when you're given a 40 min+ wait time.

A tasty brunch option. Be sure to wait or get there early to get a table. Pancakes are a must, whether you eat them alone or get an order for the table!

The vinegarette w the oysters is delicious! Also their mussels come in a curry soup. Only place I've seen do this, well executed! Pair w the chateau du pas cerf rose for a perfect summer lunch

Ordered a boulevardier cocktail (negroni with rye instead of gin) and it was perfectly made. Followed up with some oysters and the outstanding Five Leaves Burger with truffle fries. I slept well.

Expect a long wait, but it's worth it. For brunch my fav is the ricotta pancakes. The roasted veggies and quinoa salad is a healthy tasty dinner. They also offer coffee to go from a side window.

Never fails. The mussels and truffle fries are a staple in my diet. Worth the wait or go when they have the limited menu mid afternoon and eat oysters outside with an awesome cocktail.

I know the black kale salad is one of the faves,'s an effort to get through. I mean, that's some MOUNTAIN of kale you get! If you get it, know you'll need a few beers to wash it down.

Excellent brunch spot! Come early, it is packed. The pancakes are insane and if you like muscles, they come in a huge silver pale (bucket). Organic eggs are used. And the coffee art is nice :)

The Five Leaves burger and truffle fries are always a safe bet. For a lighter option, go for the chopped black kale (anchovy goooodness) and seasonal soup, which in autumn is especially delicious.

Been wanting to try this place for months, but there's always a long wait. Finally, went on a rainy day and the food was amazing! This place is a must! Get the mussel appetizer, phenom!

Ricotta pancakes are delicious again after a rough spell. Fruit, compound butter and maple syrup are great. The pancakes are quite dense from the ricotta but have good texture, almost creamy

Stumptown coffee. If you get there too late on a weekend, there's always the coffee window at the side. Still a wait though. My boyfriend says, "Big Breakkie is the best brunch in New York."

This place has been one of my favourites since its opening. Impossible wait for a table these days at the weekend though. All the food is amazing, but if you have children, no high chair.

The food is delicious, but a little pricey. However, you do get quite a good amount of food. For brunch I only go when its nice enough to sit outside, the inside can get pretty crammed.

Get the oysters. Few places serve really great oysters in BK and this is one of them. Always check out the specials and the cocktails. This kitchen knows their pork and sea food.

Try the duck. My friend had the oddest dish however, one big bowl of pig's meat, that was it. Great atmosphere but obviously big difference in how accomplished the entrees are.

Get the fives burger with truffle fries (yes truffle fries) if you are a meat eater. There is no superior burger on this side of Brooklyn.

I would just like to say to the Five Leaves menu makers, bring back the black sesame crusted salmon from your first menu ever! Please! Or the second one! In that amazing broth!! I miss them so... :(

The frisee salad my favorite. But it's more a meal than a side or first course. Note: Send back if the yolk is solid - it doesn't work *at all* if the egg isn't poached properly'

Food is great and it's very cheap for the quality. Everything else is pure BK: no AC, cramped, ice-free water, slow waitresses wearing cute outfits, and a great soundtrack.

Don't go for lunch. It's disappointing. There are literally 4 things on the main. 2 burgers (with a pineapple ring difference), mussels (oysters already in the starter menu), and a fish sandwich.

It's known for brunch, but definitely hit Five Leaves for dinner, or some classy pre-Brooklyn Bowl cocktails and oysters. If any iteration of duck is on the menu, do it.
