Located in the beautifully ornate Oakland Floral Depot building, Flora offers house-crafted cocktails to compliment our variations on classic American fare.
Good for a late night bite as they have a limited bar menu. The burger was so perfectly cooked and the fries were thick and plentiful. They make a killer margarita on the rocks.
If you're a tequila fan, Carter Beats the Devil is one of the finest tequila cocktails you'll find.
The food was really good and the ambiance was nice but the service was a little slow. Make a reservation. They fill up.
Try the Turf cocktail, dry martini with a hint of sweetness.
Very romantic and a little bit fancy restaurant! The food was very good, but nothing really special!
My favorite all-purpose Oakland restaurant. Great cocktails. Great burger. Great brunch. Nice Art Deco decor. Not too fancy.
Th halibut was amazing. Notes of subtle flavor and various levels of love was put into this dish.
Flora's atmosphere's intimate & boast an amazing drink arsenal. Look for the bartender w/the beard that'll give the duck dynasty crew a run for their money & has a repertoire of bitters. #goodfood
Pretty good burger.
Great before a show at the Fox. Just grab a seat at the bar.
Excellent food all around
Everything is great. Try a Carter beats the devil. It's a cocktail named after a book set in Oakland, and is featured on the main wall.
The Little Jig is delish!
Get the beignets, shrimp and grits and the potatoes. Amazingly delicious!
Go here for brunch and get the BLTA. Comes with Pork Belly instead of bacon.
Flora has the best everything that I've tasted... The drinks were yummy and the food awesome ... .. Patrons book a window seat or bring enough people to occupy a booth. It gets loud
Love the salted Carmel pudding - but be warned. It's very rich!
The ribs appetizer caused me to 'briefly' reevaluate my non-belief in god.
1930s Hollywood style. Coat hooks near the restroom. #endearing
The salted caramel pudding is fantastic.
Carter beats the devil on the rocks!
Try the Chocolate Mousse
Try the Caramel Pudding
Try the gnocchi with fresh vegetables
Try the Seafood Stew - Restaurant Week #2
Try the Chicken Liver Mousse, Saba & Crackers - Restaurant week course #1
Ended up here after becoming an American? Grab a sit at the bar, get a burger (sticking your American flag on it optional), a shot of Maker's Mark and a bottle of Liberty Ale. Welcome to America!
Really good buttermilk fried chicken, but I also like going to this place before a show at the fox, great service, thanks!
Love love love the fried chicken... And don't forget to order donuts!
You have to get the donuts if you're here for brunch. They're perfect.
When you walk in, immediately ask for a table and not bar seating for dining.
Carter Beats the Devil.
This is one of the best burgers around and the cocktails are exceptional. A seat along the sidebar gets you a great view of the kitchen.
The pork chop with bacon vinaigrette!!
One of the best salmon dishes ever! Salted Carmel pudding TDF.
This pioneering spot is an ideal place for cocktails and a snack, such as the house-ground burger, charcuterie or steak tartare.
Try the chicaronnes. Awesome
Selected as one of the 2012 Bay Area's Top 100 Bars by the SF Chronicle, in the Cocktail Masters category. http://www.sfgate.com/wine/article/Top-100-Bay-Area-Bars-Cocktail-masters-3674572.php
Some of the best cocktails in the bay area!
Salt and pepper cocktail made a gin believer out of me.
Any cocktail(s) + burger + salted caramel pudding. Repeat nightly.
Rum & Honey is an awesome cocktail. And you ought to try their burger!
Phil is the best bartender in Oakland, IMHO. Tell him your taste and let him take care of you.
Try the Creole Cocktail - Top of the happy hour list!
Try the Charcuterie plate - Plate #2 good, but not like plate #1. Stay tuned.
The Chicken Fried Steak and eggs are amazing
Start with a Bulldog Smash at the bar (operative word: smash) and finish with the caramel pudding dusted with sea salt. Trust.
Get the s'mores dessert. Simply amazing!
