People tend to check in during these times:
Work on the celebrated rococo fountain was first begun in 1732 by Nicola Salvi and was completed by G. Pannini in 1762. Place Managed by the Rome's Tourism Dept. in collaboration with /Avanti Concept Agency
During maintenance window last spring. Grab a gelato @San Crispino on your way. You deserve it.
Crowded beyond belief during the day, check it it out later at night when it's lit up and there are less people.
Fantastic fountain, but too crowded. Don't forget to make a wish and throw the coins.
Awesome place for couples to throw their coin and make a wish!
One of Rome Land Marks !! Throw a coin !!! You might Get lucky. Ask about the Right way on how to Throw a coin !!
A must see in Rome. If possible both see in daylight and night.
It's real, my husband's second visit also this time with his real love, meeee😝
I came when the fountain is being renovated. So sad. :(
A must visit in Rome
In maintanance for ever....
September was renovation :(
Its really pretty but i am (╥_╥) because it is under renovation
Sadly I saw this during its restoration. Check to make sure it's finished before going!! Regardless to say, it is magnificent.
Under construction right now. So a disappointment. If you want you can throw in a coin to seek fate's help to visit the eternal city again.
Under constructions but will probably be very impressive when they are done.
As of Sept 2015 it is undergoing renovation 😔. Still, it's worth a visit to say you were there. 😄🇮🇹
Under construction :( Hope it finishes soon!
Under construction. ;(
Come early to meet and greet with Mickey Mouse and his family.
Make sure to check if it's under construction or not before booking your plane tickets... It's still beautiful but would have been nice to see it actually with water
Currently under construction!
Before going to the fountain you need to know whether it is repairing or not.
It's miraculous how beautiful Fontana di Trevi is. After 4 times I there i'm still amazed every time i lay eyes on it
It was currently under construction so it wasn't a good visit.
Will be great when they have finished the work.
Was under construction. Sigh.
Currently under construction (August 2015)
Apparently it's currently under construction :(
Under restoration at the moment but still very beautiful.
Closed for renovations. You can view it through plexiglass and scaffolding, but no water is running.
So what I can say... Fountain is closed due to reconstruction 😒 you can try to throw coins on site 😒
Don't forget to throw a coin!
It was nice eventhough they were renovating it. I think a good tip, come by night, then there will not be much people.
Currently under construction (July 29, 2015) but you can still toss a coin in the "fountain" for a safe return to Rome. Watch out for pickpockets.
It is closed now, check before you go
In reparation :/
Still under construction.
Their renovation works has been going on for a while :/ It's taking too long!
Closed at the moment :(
A wonderful fountain with a breathtaking architecture. You could end up visiting every single day!
Still under reconstruction
It's being renovated at the moment but it's still worth a quick visit
Either day or night is wonderful.Crowded though with many who try to take photos or give you flowers and then they ask for money.
Amazing monuments, unfortunately there are work in progress so the view is not great :(
Saw this gorgeous monument many times before and itcwas very sad to see it destroyed by a damned idiot. Hopefully it'll soon be restored to its former beauty.
First time I went, it was beautiful. Currently, it's under construction and looks like it will be for a while. Research beforehand to see if it's open.
Currently under construction and not as beautiful as I once visit. How sad! Wish they'll finish soon and show it to people how truthfully beautiful it was.
