The famous fountain with the legend of throwing lucky coins. Visiting this fountain with a tour guide is recommended. U could find a lotta souvenirs shop and gelato bar around here also.

Historical place: when you stand there contemplating its size and beauty, the water running through it from beneath your feet comes from ancient Rome's last functioning underground aqueduct. Superb!

Recently renovated and whiter than ever. Packed is to say the least but there are a few very good gelatterias (ice cream). Take your picture and keep moving!

La Dolce Vita is here! Despite of tons of people around it this is a GORGEOUS place. You imagine yourself like Anita There is metro station close by, Barberini. And then take a walk to the Roman Forum

Better renamed as Tourist Fountain. Your best chance to experience this with a few hundred people instead of a couple thousand is between 3AM–7AM. Otherwise, plan to get very cozy.

Throwing 1 coin gets you back to Rome and throwing 2 coins gets you married. If you throw 3 ones, you ´ll get divorced, so be careful guys. Anyway, do come over here @ night, the view is worth it !

Welcome to the famous fountain finished building in 1762 by Pannini. Just throw a coin to the cold water and wish anything. May the history be your guide. Amazing place, try to come back in morning.

Fantastic. Beautiful sculptures on the fountain. In a small square and can get very crowded. Don't forget to toss in a coin for good luck.

In the corner of the small square is à small deli where you can buy drinks and food for à reasonable price. When you face the fountain you can find it on your left side behind you.

I have been at Tirevi in all hours of a day. I can suggest early in the morning like 8 am, or late at night like 10-11 pm to make a wish and take pictures with no hassle

They're restoring it right now so its not working. So disappointed. But you can walk above it on a platform and throw a coin into water so you can still make the wish that you will return.

Keep an eye on your belongings. Very crowded. Friends had her phone in her fanny pack, in front of her. They opened it, and took her phone. She didn't even feel it. They are slick here.

One of the most beautiful places in Rome especially at night. I threw a coin last time I was here and I am back again now, so don't be ashamed and give it a try!😀👍😘

Great place to visit. Lots of little shops. But don't pay what they are asking. You can pay less at a different shop. Act like your leaving, and they'll meet your price.

Designed by architect Nicholas Salvi and concluded after his death in 1762 by Giuseppe Pannini. The fountain is stunning. Ensure to come at night for a breathtaking view.

One of my favourites places in Rome. You should visit during both day and night times. Do not forget to throw a coin! 😊

Beautiful venue but sadly covered for maintenance work as of 14th August 2014 - be prepared to fight pass barriers to see the empty fountain. Otherwise lovely though

Beautiful and amazing sculptures in a water fountain. Always surrounded by tonnes of tourists, and dodgy people trying to take your photo, then charge you money.

One of the best places I have ever been ! Many people taking photos, laughing, eating ice cream, make wishes with dropping the coin into the fountain.. It was great!

Go early, and not on a Sunday or you'll be lucky to see the fountain at all over the heads of all the other tourists.

The fountain is under restoration and there very little so see now. The restoration is expected to last for another year before finish.

Beautiful. Very crowded, but it's worth it. Go to the Prosciuteria afterwards for a good wine and antipasta.

You can go around 11:30pm and few people will be there. During the day is almost impossible to walk!

For recent generations, it was Anita Ekberg who made this fountain famous when she plunged in wearing a strapless black evening dress in Federico Fellini's classic La dolce vita.
